A/N: This is a POV change from the 'New memories' chapter.
MJ
Every day was a great day, as I was one day closer to graduation. Waking up at 8 am, I smiled, chucking my bags on my back. One bag held my school things, my lunch and my laptop. One bag held my work uniform, as like every afternoon from 4:30-8 pm, I had work."So, I heard that you and Flash are head to head in the votes for the Science Dux in our class." Ned nudged me as we walked to school.
"Flash is going to win. His dad will pay the school board to give him the award." I rolled my eyes.
"No way. You deserve that award MJ. If Mr Harrington doesn't see that, then he's just a jerk and a sucker for validation." Ned hugged me as we walked towards the school.

The day was soon over. I walked out of the schoolNed: See you later MJ. I need to find a job.
Me: Why don't you just come and work with me? I'll put in a good word with my boss.
Ned: And see your face after school every day? No thank you. We can catch up after though?
Me: Yep. See you later.
Getting to Queen's Diner, I walked inside, placing my bags in the back as I wrapped an apron around my waist before getting to work. I tucked a strand of hair messily behind my ear as I wrote down the order of my favourite customer Mr Watson, the old man who visited the diner every day.
Hearing the bell ring, I looked up, seeing a guy who looked like my age. He walked in. For some reason, he looked oddly familiar, like I had seen him before or like I had known him. It's like we had known each other for years, even though we'd never met.
"Hi. Welcome to Queen's Diner. What can I get you?" I asked as I held my notepad and pen.
"I'll have a Strawberry Milkshake with one and a half teaspoons of sprinkles and a drizzle of chocolate fudge." The guy spoke, confusing me. I had never heard someone order that.
"Nice choice." I smiled, writing down the order.
"It's my favourite." He mentioned, making my heart race. Something about him seemed special.
"R-Really? T-That's my favourite too. Not many people order that kind of drink around here." I noted, my face lighting up.
"Well, only people with sweet-tooth's can handle it." The guy laughed, causing me to smile more.
"Coming right up." I quickly raced to the back, handing the docket to Janet, the Barista.
Coming back 3 minutes later, I handed the milkshake to the guy, my smile appearing again as my hand briefly touched his.
As I went to leave, he stopped me.
"Do you go to Midtown High?" My face dropped when he asked me that question.
"Yeah? I'm graduating next week. Why?" I turned around, my hands resting on the bench in front of him.
"I'm graduating there too! I'm Peter Parker by the way." My face lit up when he introduced himself.
"Cool! Well, I'm Michelle Jones, but many people call me-" He smiled as I introduced myself.
"-MJ." Peter and I spoke at the same time.
"H-How did you know that?" I looked at him concerned. Only Ned really called me MJ.
"Just a guess." He laughed.
"Hey, before you go, can I take you out sometime? Maybe on a date?" Peter asked, smiling.
"Sure, Peter Parker." Writing down my name and number, I handed the piece of paper to him, our hands briefly touching again.
Watching as he left the diner, I felt strange, as if what just happened was meant to happen. Continuing my job, I stopped at 6 pm, checking my phone.
Unknown: Hey MJ, it's Peter. Do you wanna go out tomorrow night at 8 pm?
Me: Sure. I'll let my boss know.
Peter: I'll pick you up at 7:50 pm.
Me: Sounds good. See you then.
