Y/N
You stood outside an ice-cream store, your hands typing away at your phone as you waited for Tom and Harrison to come outside. You hated waiting alone, but when Harrison was indecisive and couldn't figure out what toppings to have, you knew that waiting outside or looking around at other shops would pass the time. Unfortunately, looking around was not the best idea, as you were spotted by the one person you'd tried to avoid.

"Hey Y/N. I've really missed you." Jake spoke as he moved closer to you.

Jake is your ex-boyfriend. You dated from 8th grade to 11th grade. 3 years of your life wasted. At first, he was cute, kind and funny. After a year or two, he started being possessive, controlling and just a jerk. He'd be nice to you around your families and friends, but the moment you were alone, he'd go back to being a jerk.

"Oh, no. Look, just-" Before you could continue, Jake seemed upset.

"Why can't you just give me another chance? It's not like you're seeing anyone..." He scoffed as you panicked.

"I- um...I-" You swallowed your panic, looking around. Before you could think anymore, a pair of strong arms wrapped around your waist, lips softly kissing your neck. You were too confused to understand.

"Hey baby, what did I miss?" Your breathing slowed down when you recognised the voice. It was Tom. Your brother's best friend Tom was kissing your neck.

"Seriously? You're dating your brother's best friend Tom? Jeez, someone gets around quickly. Does Harrison know?" Jake asked as Tom intertwined his hands with yours.

You didn't answer.

"Look. Man, let me tell you, she's not worth it. I mean-" Jake stopped when he looked you up and down, Tom smirking.

"I got this darling. You look beautiful, by the way." Tom whispered in your ear before he turned his attention to Jake.

"You just insulted my girlfriend. I suggest you run. I'll give you a head start." Tom let go of you before fixing his posture. Tom was slightly taller than you.

Jake looked panicked, quickly looking around before doing what Tom said. He bolted towards the opposite direction just as Harrison exited the shop.

After what Tom had just did, you felt your heart flutter. In all honesty, feeling Tom's lips against your neck and his hands intertwined with yours, it was a dream. You had a crush on Tom, but seeing as he is your brother's best friend, a relationship with him wouldn't be wise, especially if you broke up, as your brother would possibly lose his best friend.

Even when you were dating Jake, the idea of Tom cuddling you and giving you endless kisses is what got you through the nights when Jake would ignore you.

"Why is Y/N blushing? What happened? You didn't kiss her did you?" Harrison asked as he looked at Tom.

"No I didn't kiss Y/N." Tom rolled his eyes.

"Not on the lips anyway." Tom whispered loud enough for only you to hear.

You giggled, Harrison still confused.

"Jake, Y/N's ex, tried to get back with her before insulting her. I did my friendly duty and pretended to be her boyfriend so Jake would go away." Tom admitted.

"Thanks for helping her. I wished I could have helped you." Harrison hugged you.

You, Harrison and Tom walked off, Tom getting closer to you.

"Maybe we can continue what we started, later?" Tom asked before you blushed harder.

"Only if you wa-" Before you could continue, Harrison turned to you, confused.

"Apparently Jake has some opinions about Y/N." Harrison spoke

"What do you mean?" Tom asked.

"I dated Y/N a few years ago, and she was a prude. Now, she's dating her brother's best friend, Tom. Does Harrison know? If so, I hope that he is angry at both of them. If he doesn't know, I hope he does find out and gets pissed off. Tom is ugly and Y/N is a prude." Harrison read.

"At least that's a lie. What Jake said is false. You know that right?" You asked as Harrison turned off his phone.

"You, dating Tom? Ha. I wouldn't believe it even if you told me." He laughed before he walked off, leaving you and Tom behind him.
