A/N: This story is requested by wh0syn4h: Tom and the reader are in a relationship. The reader has iron deficiency.

Worry. Tom was constantly worried. For 3 years now, he had been in love with one girl, and the fear of losing her had taken over his life. Every day, he hoped that maybe something would change, maybe she'd get better, but no such luck.

Nevertheless, everyday, he'd support her. If she needed help getting downstairs, he'd have no hesitation helping her. If she felt dizzy, he would grab a glass of water and a tablet for her straight away.

TOM
For the third time this week, I watched as Y/N got up out of bed but stumbled back, holding her head as her eyes remained shut.

"Y/N, are you ok?" I held her as she took a few big sips of her water.

"I-I'm fine..." I knew she wasn't fine. Every time I asked her that question, her first response was 'I'm fine', but we both knew she wasn't.

Watching her stand up, she didn't fall back this time, but I got out of bed and held her hand, knowing that if I didn't, she'd most likely hurt herself by accident and I couldn't let that happen.

"Don't forget that you have an appointment with Dr Ross." I reminded her, hearing a groan escape her mouth.

"I don't wanna go. She's gonna ask the same question and I'm gonna give her the same answer. What's the point if nothing changes?" Y/N asked as I made her some breakfast.

"The point of these appointments is to help you change. Dr Ross is here to help you change for the better. I don't want you constantly stumbling over while feeling dizzy or crashing your car because you feel fatigued or lightheaded. I want you to feel better." I wrapped my arms around her shoulders, kissing her cheek. She turned to me, kissing me.

After a few minutes, I helped Y/N up the stairs, as I could tell she was starting to feel a little fatigued.

Hours had passed and I was helping Y/N into the doctors office.

"So, Y/N, how are you feeling?" Dr Ross asked as I sat beside her.

"Dizzy, fatigued, lightheaded. You name it, I feel it." Y/N tried to laugh but it wasn't anything to laugh about.

"Well, I can only recommend that you eat iron-rich foods such as red meat, pork and poultry, seafood, and beans. Dark green leafy vegetables, such as spinach. Dried fruit, such as raisins and apricots. If that doesn't work, I can always prescribe you some iron supplement pills as well as the iron-rich foods." Dr Ross informed Y/N.

"I'll buy whatever is necessary to help her." I smiled, holding Y/N's hand.

Dr Ross requested that I speak privately to her, so I helped Y/N to the car before I walked back inside and sat down opposite Dr Ross.

"How are you feeling about all of this? I know this must be hard, especially since she's your girlfriend." Dr Ross asked.

"I want her to live. If she gets worse, who knows what might happen. She might get hurt and any injuries she sustains might damage her even more." I tried to stay calm.

"Well, I am dedicated to ensuring that Y/N's iron deficiency is fixed, or if not fixed, at least lessened. I won't allow Y/N to get worse." Dr Ross smiled, handing me more paperwork and lists of things that could help Y/N.
