What does it mean to experience love at first sight? It means that a person feels an instant, extreme, and ultimately long-lasting romantic attraction for a stranger upon first seeing that stranger.

What does it mean to feel helpless? It means that a person is uncontrollable, or is unable to defend oneself or to act without help.

For Y/N, these two common phrases co-exist within her life. Because of one simple second, Y/N was helpless as she experienced love at first sight. It was like cupid shot her with an arrow.

Who was the person she was helplessly in love with? Tom Holland.

You sat in the café of the college campus, your books on the table as you typed away at your laptop. Every so often, you'd hear the bell ring, signalling that someone had either entered or exited the café. From your peripheral vision, you could determine whether the person had exited or entered.

For the first time in almost half an hour, since the café was barely full, the bell rang, your eyes waiting to see either a person exiting or entering. Luckily for you, the person, a guy, entered the café, glasses over his eyes and a baseball cap firmly planted on his head as he looked around. From the look of the glasses, they were ones that weren't black, so you could only see his eyes if you were standing right in front of him.

As he got closer to the bench, he got closer to your table, slowly removing his glasses as his chiselled jaw stayed firmly shut. The moment you saw his face, but more importantly, his eyes, you felt something in your body, a fire, a spark, a light. You'd never experienced it before, it was weird.

"A large black tea please." You smiled, hearing his heavy British accent showing. You knew he was British, as most, if not all Americans don't ask for tea at a café.

As the server behind the counter wrote down his order, he waited.

"Your name, sir?" She asked.

"Tom Holland." He said only just whispering. It was as if he was trying to hide. You watched as the girl blushed and smiled like a goose, unable to figure out why.

At the time of seeing him, you were absolutely unaware that the guy who was standing only 2 feet away from you was Marvel star Tom Holland, who plays Spider-Man.

"Your accent is cute." You said, forgetting that he was standing 2 feet away from you.

"Pardon?" He clearly heard you, his eyes now looking into yours.

"I said your accent is cute." You repeated your statement, seeing Tom blush.

From that moment on, Y/N and Tom had a nice conversation, the interaction resulting in Y/N giving him her number before he left.

Y/N and Tom talked for a while, constantly talking about their lives. When Tom was away and unable to be contacted, Y/N waited helplessly as she continuously checked her phone every couple of hours hoping to see the three little dots appear before he'd send a text.

When Tom was available to talk again, they'd talk all the time, Y/N figuring out that Tom may have had a crush on her.

After 7 months of talking and being good friends, Tom asked Y/N to be his girlfriend, and she was more than happy to accept.

About 4 months into the relationship, Y/N finally understood why the occasional boy or girl would ask to take his photo. He was Peter Parker/Spider-Man.

When Y/N found out, she was certainly shocked that she had unknowingly been dating a celebrity.

"How many people come up and ask to take your picture?" You asked as Tom sat on the couch.

"Lots. I mean, it's part of my job." He smiled.

"Please remind me, what is your job?" You seemed confused.

"I'm an actor." He said, looking up at you.

"An actor? What movies have you been in?" You asked sitting besides him.

"I am mostly known for my work in the Marvel franchise as New York's friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man, also known as Peter Parker." He revealed. Your face dropped.

"You, Tom Holland, play Peter Parker aka Spider-Man in the Marvel franchise?!" You freaked out.

"Yep." He laughed at your reaction.

"Holy shit! I'm dating a celebrity. How did I not know this whole time?" You were confused.

"It might have been the fact that you've been helplessly in love with me since we met." He laughed more.

"You-You knew?" You were shocked.

"Yep. I definitely knew. But the fact that you didn't recognise me as an actor kinda helped me realise that I love you." He spoke, not realising what he had just said.

"I love you too, Tom." You kissed him, mentally face-palming yourself as you had failed to recognise that you had been dating an actor.
