"V!! Male-late na tayo!!! What the hell are you still doing?!" I yelled while knocking on my bathroom door. We only have 10 minutes left before our classes start and we are still here at my unit. I hate being late.

"Just a sec, I'm almost done!!" she answered. Naiinip na ako kaya binuksan ko na ang pinto. Hindi talaga naglolock ang babaeng to. Oh my G lang talaga ang masasabi ko! She's still doing her make-up. She looked at me and smiled nervously. I raised my eyebrows and crossed my arms at her. She's still smiling like an idiot.

"Gosh V, 10 minutes na lang!!" sabi ko sakanya.

"Hehe." she chuckled nervously. "I'm done, let's go?" sabi niya. Inirapan ko nalang siya at kinuha ang bag ko pati na ang car keys ko. Tapos lumakad na ako palabas sa unit, nakasunod naman si Veronica sa akin.

"Sorry na B." sambit ni Veronica sa akin. Hindi ko na siya tinignan pero alam kong naka-pout siya. She's Veronica Tan, my best friend. We've been friends since we were kids dahil business partners ang parents namin. I treat her as my own sister already, kahit ba napakabagal kumilos at napakaparty girl nyan. Nilingon ko siya.

"Fine. So why were you so drunk last night?" tanong ko sa kanya. Pumasok na kami sa elevator. Three floors lang naman ang agwat ng floor ko sa car park.

"Dean broke up with me." saad niya.

"What!?" gulat na tanong ko sa kanya.

"Yep. Masyadong seloso. He doubts everyone." in a sad tone. I can feel her sadness.

"I can't blame him V. You almost dated a ton of guys and--" hinawakan niya ako sa braso.

"Hey! A ton? B, you are so exaggerated. And you are NOT helping." depensa niya.

"It's true. Alam mo yan sa sarili mo Veronica. But anyway, I'm still here for you, always." then hinug ko siya. She let out a deep sigh. My poor best friend. Minsan na nga lang magmahal and mabibigo pa. Veronica is known for dating a lot of guys. Hindi nga lang seryoso yung mga guys na yun, but Dean is a different story. Talagang medyo nagbago ang aking friend dahil sa kanya.

Nakarating na rin kami sa car park. I glanced at my watch, 9:25 AM na at 5 minutes nalang talaga eh may class na kami. But we are still here. Napailing na ang ako. Sumakay na kami sa car ko, an Audi A9. Nagsimula na akong magdrive.

"V, why don't we go to Starbucks for a while?" tanong ko sa kanya.

"Are you sure? Ayaw mo nang pumasok?" saglit akong lumingon at tumango sa kanya.

"Tsk, V late na tayo eh. And I think you need coffee, you still look dreadful. Kahit naka-make up ka pa." asar ko naman.

"Shut up B!"

Nagtawanan na lang kaming dalawa. 10 minutes away lang ang Starbucks from my place. Malapit din yun sa university naming dalawa which is Ash Lane University, one of the most prestigious universities here in the Philippines, my dad is also one of the Board members here. Pareho kami ni Veronica ng course, Business Administration and we're both on our last year. Kami ang mag-mamana ng business ng parents namin. My mom is a fashion designer, named by herself-Estelle Razon Designs. Sikat na sikat yang si Mama ko, and I'm really proud of her. Si Papa naman ang CEO ng R&R Malls. Marami na kaming malls sa buong Philippines.

After a while nakarating na rin kami dito sa Starbucks. Since 9AM palang naman, wala pa ganoong tao. May mga students lang din from Ash Lane. Narecognize namin yun dahil sa uniform. White blouse and blue plaid skirt for the girls, and white polo and blue slacks for the boys. Pumasok na rin kami agad at dumiretso na si Veronica sa counter. Ako naman naupo na.
