"So ano na? Ikekwento mo pa ba Ken? We have all morning and I'm all ears." Pangungulit ko sa kanya. Bigla naman nagbago ang expression ng mukha niya.

"Fine fine." Huminga naman siya ng malalim. "I got really wasted last night."

"Well may bago ba?" sarkastikong sabi ko. Tinitigan niya naman ako. "Sabi ko nga makikinig ako eh." Sagot ko tapos tinuloy ko ang pagkain.

"When Dad saw the bar, he was disappointed." Malungkot niyang sabi. "He said, 'Gusto mo akong magtapon ng milyong pera dito sa basurang lugar na 'to? I shouldn't have agreed to this. You are still the Kendrick who always wants girls and booze.'" Dagdag niya. Nakatingin lang ako sa kanya.

"'Di ko alam kung mali ba ang naisip ko pero I'm sure there was nothing wrong with my bar or with me right?" dinig ko ang pait sa boses niya.

"Sorry Bianca, kung dito ako nagpunta. Ayoko kasi umuwi sa amin. And you are the first person who popped inside my mind when Dad was saying those. Kilala mo ako, and you accepted that. You even praised me for my idea." He's looking straight into my eyes. I can sense his sincerity. Gahd, Ken. Bakit ngayon ka pa nagsasabi ng ganyan?

Bigla naman niyang inabot ang isa kong kamay at mahigpit na hinawakan yun. Gusto ko sanang tabigin ang kamay niya pero hindi ko magawa.

"And about the kiss, it did mean something to me Bianca." He squeezed my hand.

"W-w-what do you m-mean?" I stuttered.

"I felt like there were butterflies in my stomach." Mabilis kong inalis ang pagkakahawak niya sakin at tumayo ako.

"No Ken, no. Just no." I said while shaking my head and looking at him unbelievably. "Ken, those butterflies? They need to stop." Mukha naman siyang nagulat sa reaction ko. But this is the right thing.

"I can't stop them Skye." He softly said. This cannot happen. Pero my body is telling a different side, sobrang bumibilis ang pagtibok ng puso ko. I composed myself.

"Ken, do you have a crush on me or something?" I made sure that there is coldness in my voice. I raised an eyebrow at him and I crossed my arms.

"Define crush." Sagot niya. I scoffed. Napailing ako.

"Look Ken, tapusin mo na lang yang kinakain mo then leave." Tapos tumalikod na ako sa kanya at nagpunta sa kwarto ko. Pagkapasok ko sa kwarto ko, napasandal ako sa pinto at napahawak sa dibdib ko. Unbelievable. Bakit ngayon pa ba kami nagkakaganito?

I used to not feel anything about him. Sa tagal naming magkasama, bakit ngayon ako naaapektuhan?

Sa bagay, we were always plotting together.

Parang partner in crime ko siya.

I ran my fingers through my hair.

Napabalikwas ako ng bangon when I heard a knock from my door. It must be Ken.

"WHAT?!" pasigaw kong tanong.

"I'm leaving now Bianca. Thanks for the food." His voice is muffled pero I still heard him loud and clear. Hindi ako sumagot. Napadapa naman ako sa kama ko.

Oh, Kendrick.

Nagulat naman ako sa biglang pag-ring ng phone ko. I checked kung sino ang tumatawag and it was my Mom. Buti naman.
