A Oneshot for zarahenderson3

Cathy's POV

I sighed as I left the Grimsborough Police Department Precinct. I walked outside and wiped my eyes. Tears were streaming down my cheeks. I had just gotten out of a pretty huge fight with my grandfather, Samuel King. I can't believe that it happened. What I had said to him was bad but I feel worse with what he said to me. I feel heartbroken over the fight but I suppose that I should explain what happened during the fight. He said that he needed to speak to me but wouldn't tell me what he needed to speak with me about. The reason came out and I was angry about it. He had found out that I had hacked into the GBPD system, I did but I was only trying to help. I've been trying to help them with all of the gang violence going around but he said that he wouldn't allow it. My grandfather said that he wanted me to be safe but I said that I was safe in what I was doing. We argued back and forth and back and forth, and the argument got heated. I did something that I probably shouldn't have. He usually wears some sort of police badge but he only wears it in public. I snapped at him and broke it into a few million pieces. He was shocked but he was made furious by that. In an eye for an eye exchange, he broke my laptop. I was upset that he broke my laptop but I was more upset about what was said than anything. We'd probably reconcile sooner or later but I don't exactly want to be here right now. I left the precinct and headed back home.

A few days later, I still hadn't made up with my grandfather. We haven't spoken since the argument. It isn't like we haven't tried but whenever we see each other we just sort of stare at each other at a standstill. I had still been thinking it over. I do feel bad for what I did and said but I don't exactly know how we would make up. I know that we will make up eventually. I have an inkling of what I want to say. Walking down the street, I was heading towards the police department, I had the start of an apology in my head. I'm on high alert about my surroundings, especially with the gang violence around, I mean there's always gang violence around here but it's been on the rise lately. As I was walking, I noticed a group of men standing around in an alleyway. I was suspicious. I walked closer and noticed that most of the men were wearing blue, and I noticed snake tattoos on each of the men in blue. The Vipers! They are one of the really bad gangs in the city. I don't recognize any of the members but I noticed Salvador Cordero, the leader. I was curious so I snuck in closer. I had to cover my mouth so I wouldn't gasp. Two officers from the GBPD, I don't recognize them, but I recognize the badge and specific uniform that every one of the officers has. Okay, I should sidetrack. I've got to see what they're doing with a gang. Instead of going to the precinct, I followed them around. I decided to spy on them. Luckily I had a notebook on me and a pen. Those two officers were doing all sorts of deals with the Vipers gang and they might've even done deals with the Skulls, but I wasn't sure about their involvement in things. I had notes and hurried over to the PD precinct with my notes in hand after I spent most of the day following them. I asked to speak with someone and Jones was there.

"Jones! I have to report something!"- I say as I hurry over to his cubicle.

"What is it, Cathy?"- Jones asks.

"Some of your officers are working with the Vipers!"- I reply, handing my notebook over to him.

He flipped through the few pages of notes I had, his eyebrows furrowing deeper and deeper as he got further into my notes. Jones looks up at me, an angry expression on his face. What's with that face? I eyed him, curious and confused.

"Why were you spying on our officers?"- He asked.

"I wasn't going to do it deliberately but then they were talking with gangs so I figured I would."- I explain.

"I thought Chief King told you to stay out of our business! You were supposed to be keeping out of trouble."- Jones replies.

"I'm just trying to help!"- I reply.
