A oneshot for Astronomiiaa

Elliot's POV

I sigh as I lie in bed. I can't fall asleep. I have so much on my mind that I physically can't close my eyes. I stare out and look at the clock at my bedside. 2 am. I should be asleep... I need to wake up early tomorrow. There is a reason why I am being punished by this restlessness. I... got into a fight with my boyfriend... and now I can't stop thinking about it. I turn around and am now facing him. Ikiim looks so peaceful as he is sleeping. As I stare at him, I feel so sorry about the argument. I reach a hand out and gently caress his cheek. I'm so sorry that I upset you... but I'll tell you tomorrow. My love, I was just curious. I didn't mean to be so persistent. I just wanted to know. We've been dating for a year now. He could have told me about the whole thing we argued about but he just kept telling me "No" and was dodging everything that I asked. I was just curious about the bandage over his eye and most of his body. He was tense about it, his body tensed up as soon as I asked. I gently massaged his shoulders and tried to argue my side but he was firm in not telling me. I guess he's just not ready to say it to me yet. It makes me a little worried about what he actually is hiding behind those bandages. How bad is it? Is it something absolutely terrible??

I sigh deeply, I should not be overthinking this. I'm going to be up all night if I do. I cuddled up to Ikiim, wrapping my arms around my boyfriend's chest. I pull him close to me. He moves in his sleep and turns around to face me. I smile at his pretty face. He's so gorgeous. I kiss him on the forehead and ruffle his hair. Ikiim wasn't woken up by what I did. Holding him in my arms like this is comforting. I feel my eyelids droop and get heavy. I closed my eyes and finally drifted off to sleep.

I'm woken up by someone shaking me. I blink and open my eyes. Ikiim is standing there with his hand on my shoulder. I smiled at him and he retracted his hand. I yawn and sit up. I stretch and yawn again. I hop out of bed and then slip on my slippers. I come over to him and hug him, kissing his cheek.

"Good morning, love," I say softly.

"Good morning, Elliot," Ikiim replies, matching my softness in tone.

"Did you make breakfast? Something smells great!" I reply.

"Yes. I did. Pancakes!" He said curtly.

"Pancakes? Sounds amazing!" I respond.

Ikiim pulls away from my hug. I thought he could have kissed me back. I guess he was still upset about that argument we had yesterday. He walked over to the kitchen and I stepped over to the dining room. The small table had two glasses of orange juice in front of both chairs. Ikiim came over and had two plates of pancakes and scrambled eggs. He puts one in front of me and the other where he would be sitting. I noticed that he had forgotten napkins and silverware. I get up to grab those things and he snaps a "No, I'll get it!" before doing it himself. Odd. He's never been this snappy with me before. We have had arguments in the past but he's never acted like this, he's usually quick to forgive me and I am quick to forgive him. I shrug it off and he gives me a napkin, fork, knife, and spoon. A bottle of maple syrup is also placed on the table. I pour some syrup on the stack of pancakes and sprinkle pepper and salt on my scrambled eggs. I cut into my food and began eating. Mmm, that's pretty good. I eat my food and he eats his food as we sit in silence. Ikiim hasn't even made eye contact through the meal yet.

He ate fairly swiftly and then got up, walking over to the sink. I finished soon after and then put my dishes in the sink. I thought we were going to do the dishes together but he speed-walked out of the kitchen and went over to the bedroom. I squirt some dish soap into the sink, grab a sponge, and wash the dishes. I scrub each plate and item of cutlery, wash the soap off, and then dry each thing off. I set everything on the counter and once everything is done, I put away everything in the proper place.
