A oneshot for HHYtheking
Andrea's POV
I sighed as I sit back in my chair from my office. It's in the early evening and yet we're still extremely busy. Amy and Frank weren't here. Amy wasn't exactly up to par because she still wasn't alright from what happened in White Peaks. Frank was supposed to come in today but he drank too much and he was so hungover that he couldn't come in today. The rest of the precinct was working on a murder case. I'm pretty much all by myself. The phone rang and it wasn't a number that I recognized. I picked it up, saying a polite 'Hello!'.
"Hello! This is Chief Andrea Marquez speaking."- I say.
"This is the U.S. Military speaking. We need your help."- The person on the other line replies.
"Who am I speaking to? What happened?"- I ask.
"We're under attack! We need someone from the department over here now! Names aren't needed right now!"- They replied.
"I will be down to Rhine Canyon myself in a few minutes."- I reply.
"We'll be expecting you."- The other person said, and the call ended with a click.
I get up from my chair and grabbed my bag and shoved my phone into the bag. I grabbed my gun and holstered it. I hurried out of my office and announced to the rest of the crew there that I would be leaving and if they needed me, they should call me. I left the precinct and then rushed over to my car. I got into the car and I pulled out of the parking lot. I pressed my foot on the pedal and hurried out to the Rhine Canyon district. I drove over to the U.S. military base in the area. I hope nothing too bad or too dire has happened. I quickly find a parking spot and then I saw General Freeman. He told me to follow him and I followed him as he lead me to a back room inside the base. As I stepped inside, I was met with the icy cold and stern eyes of Colonel Spangler. Oh, well, this is going to be great! He and I share a nod. I was starting to get flashbacks of what happened in Bayou Bleu. I'm not exactly happy to see him but I'm sure that he isn't excited to see me either. We don't exactly like each other or have a good history. I guess that Freeman wanted us to work together since we sort of know each other. Our sour history is not important though, I want to know what happened, and we've got to get straight to the case. General Freeman walked to the middle of the room and the two of us turned our attention to him.
"Now, I'm sure that both of you are very curious to know of what's happened here, so please, I'll explain."- General Freeman says.
"If you don't mind me interjecting, are we going to be working together?"- I ask.
"Yes. Now let me explain. It was 2 pm, most of the high-rank officers were visiting other bases in Pacific Bay. Sergeant Leo Morrison and other sergeants were in charge, but then at 3 pm, a group of mysterious men in masks that rode motorcycles ambushed the North Gate, which is where Morrison was in charge. They tried to defend the base, but their guns started to lose control and those goons broke in and knocked everyone out because of how their defense system broke so surprisingly easy."- General Freeman explained, turning his attention to Spangler.
He probably has some information to share with us, well probably just me.
"My fellow soldiers and I returned to the base at around 5 pm. When we found out what happened, we quickly checked if those goons stole anything. And it turns out they did steal a top-secret document about The Waste. At that time, nobody but the soldiers who guard North Gate knew about this situation because their communications had been crippled too."- Spangler explains.
"Do I need to call-"- I start but Spangler interrupted me.
"We don't need her around."- Spangler says.
