Elliot's POV

I'm not entirely sure what to do right now. I have a crush on someone, one of the newer employees at the Bureau, but I don't entirely know what to do about this crush or how to work through it. I blame Jack for these feelings. We were working on a case in Tokyo, Japan, and we ran into a young agent who was helping us out. His name is Yuto Chikafugi. He assisted us with the yakuza leader's murder. Yuto has a very sharp memory, I would almost say it was almost photographic. He's a pretty smart guy. Since he helped us out and seemed to be really smart with crime solving, Jack talked to Chief Ripley and then offered Yuto a job at the Bureau. He seems to have fit in well so far, especially with me. Crime scene investigation isn't his only skill, he's skilled in coding too.

He's pretty impressive. His intelligence is very admirable. Yuto and I do spend a lot of time together since he helps me whenever he's not helping Jack or Carmen with investigations. I'm not going to be shallow and like someone purely based on appearance, I like a person for the whole person. Not that I don't find Yuto unattractive. The seventeen-year-old has pretty and long black hair, with streaks of brown. His hair is usually tied back into a man bun, with a few stray strands cupping his face. He has a mole under his lip on the left side of his face. His eyes sparkle like dark onyx gems due to the black color. His left ear is pierced with a dangling red earring and he normally wears black gloves since he does a lot of work with his hands.

Yuto seems more interesting than me. Other than me being sent off to boarding school as a kid, I'm not that interesting, Yuto thinks I'm cool but that's just because he's nice like that. A guy who speaks four languages has got to be interesting. Yuto has told me that he speaks Japanese, Vietnamese, English, and French. He's proven that he can speak each language when I told him I didn't believe him. It makes sense that he speaks Japanese and Vietnamese since his biological father's are. He's half Japanese and half Vietnamese. With English being the prominent language in the world, it would be more detrimental to not know how to speak or understand English. The French thing was intriguing to learn. Yuto explained that it was something he learned in school, picking French over Spanish or Latin which are the more popular classes to pick.

"Someone's daydreaming instead of working on that hard drive that we sent them. Am I going to have to do it myself?" A voice says from behind.

I spun around in my chair, smiling as I saw that it was Yuto who was behind me. He came over to me, leaning against my chair and staring me down.

"You aren't going to do all the work around here," I reply.

"Your computer screen is blank." He retorts.

"I'm getting to it, have patience Yuto," I respond.

Yuto sighs, sinking into the couch in my office.

"Well, I'm not here to replace you, and I really don't want to if Chief Ripley asks me to since you don't do things in a timely manner."

"Chief Ripley's not going to fire me, but it's sweet that you're worried about me." I hum.

He blushes. "I... I'm just concerned about a... colleague."

"Damn, I'm not even considered a friend?" I smirk.

"What? N-No. Of course I see you as a friend!" Yuto says.

"I'll get started on the hard drive. Did you need anything else from me while I'm here?" I ask.

"No. I didn't need anything but- He yawns -I was really just sent here to see if you had that hard drive done for us."
