Later that day, Y/n awoke feeling better than prior. While he wasn't quite over the cold, he was able to stay awake for a prolonged period of time and didn't have to worry about overheating underneath his blanket. From the look of things, Chaewon was the same as well. The radish maid's temperature had significantly lowered and the only thing the two teens needed was a meal to seal the deal in their recovery.

The next few days felt shorter than Y/n expected as the pair interacted in ways Y/n was only able to dream of. While he hoped the two would be able to return to this, he didn't expect it. Alas, he didn't complain as his days appeared a lot brighter than they had for the past few weeks.

The moment they sat down at their usual school table, Jimin noticed this, giving Y/n the thumbs up while Chaeyoung and Wooyeon conversed. The school day flew by as well despite the two students interacting less due to being in class.

In between these moments of bliss, Y/n couldn't help but think about his feelings for the girl constantly at his side. Each time he did so, the boy repeated the same line over and over.

She's a maid first, friend second, and that's all. That's all,  Y/n.

Even though he told himself this, Y/n couldn't help but feel an agonizing uneasiness inside his chest. He wanted to act upon his feelings, but he knew he could ruin his relationship that way and feared what might happen if he did.

I'll get over this in a few weeks or something. Maybe months... Regardless, I'll get over this and hanging out with Chaewon will just be like two friends hanging out. Like how Min and I used to be. Yeah...

The rest of the school year sailed smoothly with the group frequently meeting at Y/n's house to study for the upcoming finals. Despite the occasional hiccups because Jimin and Wooyeon would slack off or choose to do something else, the study sessions brought the group closer than they had been prior.

After finals, the group decided to visit the local cake shop to celebrate their passing of the school year.

"Yo!" Eunbi greeted, "Where's Minju?"

"Ah..." Y/n scratched her head, "I didn't tell you guys cause I don't usually visit this place without her. She moved away a while ago."

"She did?!"

"And she didn't even tell us..." Hyewon pouted, "We could have at least thrown a 'going away' party for her."

"I don't think she'd want two," Y/n chuckled.

"Anyway," Eunbi dismissed, "You guys are here to celebrate the end of the school year, right?"

"Mhm."

"Did you all pass?"

Jimin nodded, prompting Eunbi to pump her fist in the air.

"Good work everyone!! The cake is on the house today!"

The students cheered just as the store door opened.

"Woah- Is there a party going on or something?"

Recognizing the familiar voice, Y/n turned around, smiling.

"You're the doctor from a few months ago."

Ji Hoon smiled, "Hey. What's going on here? Should I have bought a gift or something?"

"Oh- No. We're just celebrating the end of the school year."

"Oh," Ji Hoon chortled, "Good shit, guys. I assume you all passed?"

Y/n nodded.

"That's good."

"What are you doing here though?" Y/n asked, "It's the middle of the day. I would have expected you guys to be working right now."
