Liam
I sit in bed, Ava walking out of the closet in my sweatpants, and t-shirt. "Hi," she says, a mischievous smile on her face as she hides something behind her back.
"What is it?"
"Close your eyes."
"Are you gonna bring out a snake or something?" I ask, complying anyway.
"Don't open until I say so." I feel something being placed in my hands, and she finally says, "Open!"
I look down, and find three pictures of us- the first time we kissed in the photo booth. I freeze, suddenly reminded of that day.
I remember Ava getting mad at me. "Liam! I swear to god if you don't do the right pose-" and as my heart beat rapidly, the timer counting down for the last picture, I crashed my lips into hers.
God, what I'd give to go back. I look at Ava again, her warm expression making me feel all types of ways. God, what I'd give to have her back.
While we're together right now, it's a fleeting thing, delicate, and ever-changing. We were so innocent in these pictures, so blissfully ignorant, and I'd give anything to be those versions of ourselves.
When we knew a little less, and gave a whole lot more.
