Chapter 31 - Can't marry you

Patrick drew closer and kissed her cheeks startling Tina whom almost slapped him, but Patrick smiled catching her hands, he kissed her hands instead, Tina pulled her hand away from him, wanting to go, but Patrick blocked her view then he spoke,

"Baby, haven't i apologise to you, don't you have a forgiven heart, how else do you want me to seek your forgiveness",

Tina bit her lips ignoring him, Patrick came closer to her again leaving a thin Gap in between, then he spoke,"Am truly sorry".

Turning Tina to face him, he lifted her face and kissed her lips softly, Tina was startled with the unexpected kiss, She didn't know how her mouth betrayed her and responded, returning back his kiss, Patrick was also going passionate wanting to intensify his kiss, but then Tina recollected herself and bite on his lower lip, forcing Patrick to stop kissing her, she cleaned her mouth and frowned at him, while Patrick licked his lips to her surprise smiling at her.

Tina bited him hard, and his lip bleeded on hers, she cleaned her mouth when Patrick let go of her lips due to the pain, but he didn't scold her, instead he was licking his mouth smiling at her, Tina frowned asking,

"What do you want again, why can't you stay way from from me, I hate you",

Patrick frowned looking at her face, with the moon light and street light that where still on, coupled with the fact she was very fair in complexion, then he replied,
"You can't hate me, I love you ".

"Of course I can Patrick, just leave me alone, haven't you succeeded enough to ruin my life, while I was preparing to gain admission into the university to win the school scholarship exam, what did you do, if not ruin it all, and yet I won I couldn't further and my chances of becoming a graduate and a nurse was ruined by you, thank you very much, now will you get away from my side", Tina wanted to push him away, but he grabbed her closer to him. And knelt beside her,

"Am sorry Tina, please forgive me, I promise to make amends, Please!, I can sponsor you to whatever school you want, your mother told me then when I do come to ask of you that you were writing your school scholarship exam that was why she asked you not to come to the market then, but I didn't know it was precious to you and you were very brilliant with your studies, I felt bad for what I had done, please forgive me,", Patrick pleaded

Tina shaked her head in disgust saying ,"it as already happened, I guess you enjoyed it, jus move on with your life, I won't bother you and let me also do same".

Patrick then stood up and told her he will be leaving for the city tomorrow and he will return again to come and make things right and marry her, but Tina laughed and told him,
' I will not marry you, I already have someone else I wish to marry", Patrick was shock to hear her answer but before he could respond she already left him.

Retuning back to the city the following day, Patrick had a lot of pending office work to do, he even got a surprise visit from Mr Bright and he hoped the man does not go home to tell his daughter about his return because he was not ready to face Anita yet.

Mr Bright greeted him as he took a seat in Patrick's office, he smiled at Patrick, and Patrick can not help wander how his relationship with Mr Bright will turn out to be, when the man eventually finds out he will not marry his daughter and he already has a son, a cute son for that matter.

"How was your trip to the village and how are your parents?", Mr Bright asked him

"They are all fine, Sir", Patrick replied as his office assisting servant asked Mr Bright what drink will he like him to serve, Mr Bright smiled and asked his servant not to worry he would not be spending much time as he had some other business appointment to catch up with.

Mr Bright then teased Patrick,
"I see your relationship with my daughter is going smoothly, when will you be informal about it"

Patrick smiled faintly, "I don't know yet, there's just some things I need to fix first to determine my settling with your daughter",

"Okay, but you know my daughter can not keep calm about you, well if you need anything or any assistance, feel free to call me", said Mr Bright as he stood up to take his leave, after shaking hands with Patrick.

Mr Bright got home and told his wife and daughter Anita while they were eating that he had gone to see the CEO of Pat international Designs and furniture makings, whom was Patrick.
Anita nearly choked on her meal and told her father, "But Dad,Patrick had not yet return".
Her father stared at her and said, "Well I didn't call him to let him know of my visit, I went to see an estate agent around that axis, and decided to stop by his office to see if he was around, and his managers told me he just came in today due to pending appointment that where to be fulfilled by him",
Anita frowned hearing what her father just said.

She had called Patrick yesterday and he never told her when he will be coming, let alone come today, why was he like that.

Noticing his daughter sad look, Mrs Bright asked her daughter, "Hope no problem",
"No mother", Anita recompose her face .

She wanted to go and see Patrick but she taught again maybe he doesn't want to see her yet, that why he hide his coming back date from her, she sighed and manage finishing her meal, before she went in.

Mrs Bright was already aware that Patrick doesn't really love her daughter, but what can she do if not hope and pray things end well between both of them, her daughter loved Patrick more than he claimed to love her daughter, and his behavior towards Anita, says it all.

Anita has been heartbroken before and it wasn't easy for them to take her out the depression of it, now it seems her daughter will be heartbroken again, Mrs Bright sighed and silently prayed for her daughter to be able to overcome depression and and finds love again if Patrick failed her,
because her daughter already made her relationship with Patrick public and the catastrophe these will cause and go frenzy online will be more depressing than her daughter's previous relationship which was almost secret and not all over media and magazine covers, Mrs Bright sighed again and thought of what she can possibly do to help her daughter out before it's became late.
