Chapter 83 - Mella's Invitation

Patrick and Mamatina arrive at the Police station, and they sat down waiting until it got to their turn.

Mamatina checked in with the inspector in charge of the Missing child case

"Madam so far the suspect arrested have claimed not to know anything about the disappearance of your daughter, and we will have no other choice than to grant them bail, Or do you suspect any other person that might be an enemy to your daughter?",

Mamatina gulped not knowing what to say, she turned to Patrick looking disappointed, then the officer in charge looked at Patrick, he could tell the baby he has seen on photo somehow resembles the man he was seeing, although it seemed to him like he knew Patrick from somewhere, so he ask Patrick,
"Are you the husband of the missing lady and her child?",:

Patrick looked at the officer he blinked,
"Yes I am, but we haven't gotten married yet", Patrick replied him,

"Hmm, do you suspect anyone to be an enemy to your wife?"the officer ask him, still wondering where he had seen Patrick face before.

"Not really officer I do not suspect anyone, I don't live in this Village", Patrick replied him

"Hmm, why not think properly if you can remember anyone that seemed or act jealous knowing you and the said missing lady are in an affair", the officer in charge said

"Hmph.. ", Patrick scratched his head thinking,

"Well obviously officer, there's only someone I think of, but I don't think she will go as far as hurting Tina, besides we do chat, but I don't know if she can do anything as these", Patrick replied the officer still in doubt if Amanda could do such a thing as harm Tina out of jealousy.

"Then she's also a suspect, what is her name and where does she stay, you know some of these girls can go as far as hurting eachother out of jealousy",

"Hmph, " Patrick sighed.

Patrick drove with the officers to Ama's mother restaurant, luckily for then Amanda was around so she was arrested.

Amanda was stunned to see Patrick and more shock to see the police officers, she stared at Patrick in shock and ask him,
"What's going on Patrick, when did you return?",

"Young lady will you keep quiet, Are you Amanda by name?", The officer ask Ama,

"Yes, yes am Amanda, any problem officer?", Amanda ask the officers embarrassedly.

"Well, you are under arrest, for the disappearance of a young lady named Tina praise", The officer told her,

Amanda looked at Patrick with questioning eyes, "What's going on PATRICK?", Amanda ask him.

"You have the right to remain quiet because anything you say or do will be used against you in the court of law",

"Officers you can't be serious, I don't know anything about Tina", Amanda struggled as they handcuff her and dragged her to their car

"Shut up young lady and get in", Amanda got inside and they drove her away, most people around and in her mother restaurant stared in Surprise asking themselves, "what's going on?".

Chris Went to see Mella as she has been calling him to come see her, since he was on leave.

He had lied to Mella that he travelled but Mella told him that she do not believe he travel, asking Chris to give her his home address that she really want to pay him a visit as it was important.

Chris frowned, he knew if he continued lying to Mella that he travelled to his village, the girl will one day trace his home from the address he had submitted to her father's company and he does not want Tina to know of Mella either, he regretted having anything to do with Mella in the first place, so he finally agreed that he will come and see her.

Chris arrived at Mella's apartment and stood outside, not wanting to go in,

"Good afternoon Chris", Mella rush out to him giving him a hug , smiling sweetly at Chris,

"Don't you miss me Chris?", Mella said to him, still hugging him tight as she looked up at Chris face.

She was putting on a tight little undies and a small top that brought out all her curvy shape, Chris sighed seeing how hot Mella looked, he remembered their previous night.

"Good day Mella, sure I miss you, but tell my why must we meet at your house, can't we meet outside or in a restaurant?", Chris asked her looking away, and trying to get her away from hugging him.

Mella frowned, "seems like you ain't happy to see me, I just wanted us to celebrate", she said to him.

Chris looked at her, he ask,
"Celebrate what Mella?",

"Well, my father as officially handover the company to me, so I am the new CEO of  Steral Cosmetic and Pharmaceuticals",Mella beam jumping up.

Chris just stared at her, and he said,
"Congrats".

"Is that all you can tell me Chris?", Mella ask him frowning at him, and it got to Chris as he didn't like how she suddenly became sad, she hit his soft spot and he doesn't know why he should care if she's happy or not, but how she frowned made him care for her

"Fine what do you want me to do for you?", Chris ask her like one asking his boss, Mella hit his chest gently looking at him seductively, she said,

"Come in Chris I prepared your favorite",

"My favorite, how do you know my favorite?", Chris ask her, but she smiled at him , held his hand and ushered him inside her parlour as they were both standing outside since had Chris arrived her home.

Getting into Mella parlour, she already arranged a plate of peppersoup and wines, and when Chris saw this, the memories of all they did the last time came rushing through Chris thought, he stopped, not wanting to take a seat,
"Why Mella , why do you invite me, don't you have a boyfriend?", Chris questioned her

"I don't have any boyfriend Chris, or have you seen me with any guy before, the last guy I dated broke my heart, and left me for someone else, simple because i refused to give him have of my father's wealth",

"What!", Chris shouted feeling pity for Mella, "why would he request such a thing from you, is it because he knows , you are your father's favorite?", Chris asked her feeling pity for her, he remembered how he was duped too by his past two girlfriend, Mella began to sob.

Chris heart was touched, and he came closer to her,
"It okay Mella, you can still have another boyfriend and move on", Chris tried to encourage her,

"No Chris, no one wants me, they all want my father's wealth and not me", Mella started crying seriously.

Chris sighed, what as he gotten himself into, on a day like this that she is supposed to be celebrating her promotion as the new CEO, She wasn't supposed to cry, so chris drew her closer to himself, for a hug and pet her to stop crying everything will be alright.
