Chapter 34 - why me

Anita closed from work and went straight to Patrick's Mansion, she had missed him so much. She had wanted to call Patrick immediately she heard of his return back to City A from her father but she felt sad knowing Patrick did not even tell her, he was coming back the following day even after calling him to check when he was returning.

Anita was thrilled all smile as she drove herself to Patrick's Mansion, when she got in she saw Patrick already seated having a drink of wine from a glass cup, as he was watching his favorite reality TV show on TV, Anita greeted him sweetly as she rushed to give him a hug and cheek to cheek kiss, just as Patrick also stood up to properly welcome her.

"How have you been, didn't you miss me, What took you so long to even call me, Anyways am happy you still called, how's every one at home in the village", Anita asked him all in one go.

Patrick smiled looking at Anita he said,

"They are all fine, you looking sweet today, how's your work?"

"Fine fine, So what did you prepare food, soup am famished, I didn't get to eat anything after finishing my last shoot, I had to rush down here straight, So what did you prepare for me?", Anita asked Patrick. Although Anita knew Patrick as domestic staff to do the cooking and cleaning of his home, but still whenever Patrick as the chance to cook and doesn't have much designing work to do, Anita enjoys Patrick's cooked meal, they are quite delicious and sweet like locally home made food, other than the continental and we'll ganished food the cook servant normally prepare.

Patrick still smiling at her told her, "I didn't prepare anything, nor cook either have been a little worried of lately , But I think the cook already made something nice, I can call her to prepare you something, what will you like to eat?",

"Anything edible", Anita answered.

"So what did you want to discuss with me about, you told me over on the phone that you will like to discuss something with me, what's it about?", Anita asked him looking intently at Patrick's face.

Patrick sighed, but he knew definitely he as to tell Anita the whole truth and new development. At first he was thinking of giving up his love and desire for Tina since Tina doesn't even like him or want to conversate with him, but after seeing his cute son, and seeing Tina the last time he had visited and seen her, He couldn't help but long for her, as thoughts of his past escaped kept on flashing in his mind.

Anita looked at him worriedly since he had not said anything yet, her food was served on the dining, so she left Patrick and went over to eat her food. She was very hungry and doesn't joke with her meals no matter how sad or happy she may feel, Anita doesn't dare to starve her stomach or skip her meals, being an Actress and a top young model in City she as to look fit at all times.

Anita ate her food silently. She already asked Patrick if he cared to join her eating on the dining so she does not eat alone but Patrick told her he wasn't hungry yet and Anita had no other choice than to eat her food alone first, while she wandered what was eating Patrick up on the inside.

After finishing her meal, she came over and sat beside him on the sofa and she asked,

"So tell me babe, What's the matter?" - Anita asked

"Hmm!..", Patrick sighed, continuing

"Well I just got to find out I have a son with the girl I told you am in love with before"

"What??", Anita screamed, continuing

"How could you Patrick, why did you get her pregnant, why didn't you use protection, you have never agreed for once to do it with me without protection, yet you did it with someone else and even went as far as getting her pregnant Patrick!", Anita burse down crying.

Anita couldn't believe her ears, did Patrick really told her the truth or he was lying,

"Tell me is not true Patrick?", Anita asked looking keenly at Patrick.

"Am sorry babe, am truly sorry, I never knew she was pregnant not until this moment when I last travelled to the village and saw her and the baby",

"Enough Patrick!", Anita cut of Patrick from finishing what he wanted to explain, continuing

"I have always knew you never truly loved me, you just pretending to, you love her right, she already as a child for you, fine go on and marry her, I already promised myself that I will not waste a single tears crying for you if you eventually break up with me.. You know why?", Anita said looking bitterly at Patrick while she stood up and turn to take her bag to leave.

Patrick looked at her and apologize again,

"Am sorry please forgive me, and Try and understand me.."

"Understand?", Anita laughed out hysterically looking at him madly.

"Patrick am done with you, This relationship as been one sided from the start, It as always been me, just me, working and doing the moves to build our relationship, you never wanted me, you never loved me, you're only pretending too . Just go on with whomsoever you claim you love, I will be fine, just fine Okay", Anita said, and did not wait for Patrick reply as she turned back and left his mansion.

Patrick sat down back shaking his head in regrets, he wandered if he had made the right choice by opening up to Anita. He still loved and liked Anita,

"How I wished I had meet Anita before Tina", Patrick mumbled, wandering what his fate will be when Mr Bright later find out he broke up with his daughter, he cried.
