Chapter 53 - Early morning visit

Patrick had not yet returned back to City A, he stayed home in his village thinking about what to do to win Tina back, her audacity baffles him, she never loved him and it was so obvious, "but why?" Patrick thought.

Sitting in his chambers, he wandered and slept off.

Mamapatrick was told the whole gist by her daughter Amanda whom had gone with Patrick to Tina's place, she pitied her son and wandered what kind of heartless young lady as her handsome fallen for. Mamapatrick was annoyed, but with the Amanda was explaining her grandson features and cuteness to her she calmed and thought probably is because the lady is beautiful that was why her soon was magnetted to her.

"Besides they where many cute girls in the city and in our village why will Patrick go all the way to Ochanda village to get someone daughter pregnant, ain't there cute girls in the city again?", Mamapatrick asked Amanda whom she sat with in their living room gossiping about Patrick.

"Hmph, Mama that girl is fine oo, just that she doesn't like brother, She's like Sharon age mate, from the way am seeing herself, she might be a little older or same age with Sharon", said Amanda.

"All that one isn't my concern, so long she as my grandchild and blood with her, she as to accept your brother and bring my grandchild home, beside he his a boy and not supposed to be raised outside his father's house, does she not know what the custom and tradition of our land demands", Mamapatrick wasn't happy with all Amanda had said about how Tina was behaving towards her son, she wandered how come the pregnancy,

"But if you said she was behaving like that to you brother how come the pregnancy?", Mamapatrick did not want to believe that her own God-fearing son can take advantage of someone's Daughter, she immediately waved off the thoughts or possibilities that it might be forced or plot as to why Tina hate her son.

"Hmph.. ", Mamapatrick sighed

"But Mama, what if the girl refused to marry brother what will we do?", Amanda asked not wanting to imagine that her cute little nephew wouldn't be allowed to come to her village, she wanted to brag about him and show him to her friends.

"I don't know yet, Your brother should know on what to do, I will go talk to him now", Mamapatrick stood up and went to Patrick chambers to see him.

Knock knock!

Mamapatrick knocked repeatedly, Patrick had already slept off on his sofa after thinking too much about Tina, he love Tina so much but the girl doesn't want to give him a chance not even after carrying his baby, he became tired and slept off. The sound from his mother calling his name out and knocking on his door woke him up, he went to open the door for her,

"Mama, since when have you been knocking?", Patrick asked in his sleepy eyes, that was just clearing up.

"Where you sleeping, I had thought same too, I came to discuss something with you, and it important", Mamapatrick said as she passed him and went to take a seat on the sofa Patrick as just stood up from.

"What is it mama?", Patrick asked as he went to his bar to get a drink to clear his sleepyhead.

"Are you asking me what is it, like you don't know, what you have done, Patrick!, Where is my grandchild?".

Patrick frowned hearing what his mother just asked him,
"Mama your grandchild is fine", he answered taking a cold drinking out and coming back to seat opposite his mother, as he watch her face while he open his drink to cold his mind.

"Tell me Patrick how come the child, where you not in a relationship before with the child mother?", Mamatina asked faintly, making Patrick almost choke on the drink he was sipping from. Patrick knew his little sister was a gossiper and she will have told his mother all the things that happened, he regretted taking his sister along with him, knowing that she's a parrot mouth and talks all she sees and knows to their mother, because of their close bond being his mother's last child.

"Mama what are you trying to say?", Patrick pretended not knowing what his mother was driving at, on several occasions he had tried avoiding this topic from his mother interrogation about how her grandchild was form that why will Patrick not know about the existence of the pregnancy and till when the baby was born, his mother still look suspiciously at him.

"So you mean you don't know what am saying, tell me Patrick did you forcefully slept with that girl knowing she never love you from the onset?", Mamapatrick asked irritating Patrick.

"Mama I don't know what you are talking about?",

"Patrick, you know what am talking about, if not why will she not want to come here, what did you do to her that made her detest you?".

Patrick frowned he couldn't lie to his mother anymore, not in a situation like these that made him look helpless, he said,
"Mama am sorry I don't know what came over me, I did it with her against her wish and she hates me for it".

Mamapatrick didn't say anything, she already thought as much as to why so she wasn't surprised, she said

"It okay, you will still have to go and see her again before leaving back to the city and apologize to her again, your sister told me that she said she already as someone else that she wants to marry", Mamapatrick asked.

Patrick frowned again almost choking on his drink, he said
"Mama she can't marry the person, just don't go thinking much about that",

"What makes you so such she wouldn't Marty or run away with the person, you better act fast and know how you can get her to forgive you", Mamapatrick stood up and left.

Patrick didn't say anything, he just continue drinking his cold drink calmly thinking on what to do to Tina

The next day Patrick drove to Tina's village, he went straight to her father's compound but he didn't park in her father's house as he did not want them or Tina to know he was around, he parked by a close street and waited for Tina to pass.

Tina finished all she was doing before 9am and set to leave with Godsent as she normally take him with her to her seamstress place, Godsent 1year birthday was to be celebrated by weekend at her seamstress place, Jude and Richmond had gone early to school remaining as her parents and her with her son where at home, the street was as usual quiet as most of the workers and students as gone to their work place unlike the weekends when most people will be at home

When Tina was true preparing she came out and left with Godsent. Patrick had parked his car in the other street so Tina didn't know he was around, she was just walking with Godsent when she bumped into someone that came directly to her front. The sun was hot and so the wind and breeze blowing were dusting, Tina wanted to say something as to why someone will just bump into her, but as she raised her head she saw he was Patrick, she was shocked beyond words .
