"Dr.Bailey." Blake stopped at the nurses station, Alex, Christina and Meredith was there to. When Miranda's gaze met hers, she sighed inwardly hoping to god the woman wasn't about to cut her from the program.
Bailey shooed the other interns away and turned to face her favorite. Before she could speak Blake looked right at her, squaring her shoulders.
"I know what happened with Constance wasn't my call to make, but my patient was dying and unless I did the emergency thoracotomy she would have died, and yes I realize I'm just an intern but—"
Bailey put up her hand and stopped her "I'm not upset Carmichael ." She started and looked at the youngest intern they had "I'm proud, but you spent over fifty hours at the hospital at that point, your shift was over and you needed rest." She paused "I'm not angry and not about to kick you out or punish you. You did good" a smile curled up her lips and she patted the interns shoulders "You were calm, you ordered the nurses to get what you needed, you made the perfect incision and followed the right steps. I'm not angry. So relax."
Blake sighed in relief a smile on her lips "Oh .. good so I'm not on scut?" She asked quietly.
Bailey snorted "No, you and Grey are covering the pit , that's my gift to you, there's plenty of traumas coming through, holiday stupidity."
Blake went to answer but Dr Burke walked into the conversation "Actually Dr.Bailey is it alright if I take Carmichael?."
Blake eyes widened and she found Christina's eye, she wiggled her eyebrows while the Asian scowled.
Bailey raised a brow "Well I wanted her in the pit, she keeps it organized better than those damn ER interns." Finished miranda Not really wanting to send Blake with Burke.
Burke chuckled "Unos called they have a heart for a patient of mine, since Carmichael did such a great job with the last patient and shows aptitude for cardio , I thought it would be best to have her observe a heart transplant."
"I'm free!" Said Christina
"Yeah me too I'm totally free, I'll be happy to be in the OR with you Dr. Burke." Said Meredith weighing in.
Blake smirked and turned to her resident "Its up to you Dr.Bailey, you're my resident. And where ever you want to put me, is where I'll go." She shrugged casually, though the transplant sounded really good.
Christina scoffed "Suck up."
Meredith hummed "Total suck up."
Burke looked at Bailey "Well Dr.Bailey? ."
Bailey looked at Blake , she really didn't look like she cared either way, though her eyes were a different story. It did that twinkle thing, and she wondered whether it was the light "Your eyes are twinkling Carmichael." She said with an eye roll "Fine go with Dr.Burke."
Blake nodded gratefully "Thanks Dr.Bailey you're the best!" She chirped with grin and took the chart from Burke.

Christina and Meredith walked down to the out "Your girlfriend is a suck up, an ass licker and she stole my heart transplant surgery" muttered Christina crossly "She's not even interested in Cardio! I think Burkes punishing me because I insulted the tree he got for Christmas. And I told him I'm Jewish."
Meredith hummed absently "Blake was punched in her dick and Addison checked for bruises. Had her hands all over my girlfriends penis and found them and implied Blake was cheating."
Christina stopped walking "What?"
Meredith frowned as she spilled her thoughts "I know, it was stupid , I was jealous and I don't do jealousy. Yet with Blake I'm jealous. I'm jealous of the nurses who smile flirtatiously at her, I'm jealous that she and Addison are so close. I'm jealous and it's wrong because I trust Blake, she won't break my heart or cheat on me.."
