Renegades. Rule breakers. Gangsters with scalpels. This is the way we like to think of ourselves. It makes us feel badass, sexy.
"Okay Grey, last one now." She asked and injected the strain into the latest patients brain. "Janet how are we feeling?"
Janet hummed "Good."
Blake nodded "Alright I asked you last week to remember three words for me, what were those words?" She asked staring at the clock.
"Cabin.Truck.Spoon." Janet recited perfectly
Blake smiled underneath her mask "Fantastic.. okay we're done here, we'll get you back to your room and tomorrow morning we'll run a few more tests okay?"

"Patient 101 Janet McKinley has shown remarkable results, almost immediately after alpha was administered." She dictated before checking her file "Patient 99 Thomas McConnell , has once more proven that the the MG variant acts faster than any of the other strains, once it has identified the disease it starts attacking it root and stem, without causing damage to the patients brain or body. Blood work and cultures within normal parameters.." She stopped when the was a knock on the door.
"Uh so I've checked all the scans and everything is clean, I've also sent the labs away to test for the gene , but I have a really good feeling about it." Said Lexie with grin and handed the charts over.
Blake went through them "Great, we only have Michael, Emily and Grayson scheduled for tomorrow." She paused and looked at lexie "Have you read the latest issue of Journal of Clinical Investigation?"
Lexie shook her head "Nope, was I supposed to?" Blake chuckled and handed over the special copy she received.
"Page 23." Lexie paged to the page. The first thing she saw was image of her and Blake side by side in the OR administering the drug. 'Newest and most successful B.A.C trial that has shown that the miracle drug Dr.Carmichael-Grey has created has shown to have more than an 88% successful rate. Dr.Carmichael-Grey has stated that even though she did much of the work she couldn't of have done it without her team of research assistants one got a very special mention because she was able to offer Dr.Carmichael-Grey the sounding board she needed. While providing lists of ideas and information that has helped tremendously with the progress. A third year resident Dr.Alexandra Grey.'
Lexies eyes widened "You mentioned me?" She looked at the photos of the two of them bent of a table working.
Blake chuckled "Of course, your mind is wonderful Lexie, you were truly helpful in this trial. And it would be shame if you didn't get my appreciation or a mention."
Lexies eyes teared up slightly "Thank you."
Blake grinned "No thanks necessary, let's up that 88% to about 99.99% percent and we'll call it a cure yeah?"
Lexie grinned "Trial of century!"
Blake laughed and ruffled Lexies hair "Trial of the century."

"No, Meredith there are no spots, the list is full, and I have already submitted it. I can't bring her into the trial. Lexie and I will be doing the last row of patients tomorrow and once it's done. The drug will be again be tested by the F.D.A. As much as I want to until it's released publicly Adele Webber is going to have to wait" Blake said firmly "End of discussion."
Meredith opened her mouth "Blake this is important, and the drug could take one to two years to be produced nationally and by then Adele will have lost two years of her life!" She argued
