My parents came to my white coat ceremony. I can still picture them, so happy... so proud.
Blake , Meredith, baby Bailey and Zola were still in Meredith's room, however, Zola was full on sleeping on Blake's chest while Meredith was holding their son. Zola seemed rather possessive, since seeing the new baby, but not of her mommy, but her mama.
"It could be that she's still worried you're going to leave." Meredith said quietly.. as she watched her sleeping daughter clutch Blake's scrub top "I think you may have scarred our daughter .."
Blake rolled her eyes "You know.." she muttered "Fine I guess I have to prove to my little princess that's not the case.."
They say your life flashes before your eyes right before you die. The important moments.
Owen walked into the room and smiled the family, "Hey, we need to get the board together, and... Congratulations" he said sincerely.

When the rest of the board gathered in Merediths room , Blake was hardly paying attention she was preoccupied with what Meredith said.
Miranda was holding her name sake that was sleeping while Blake was too dosing in and out of consiousnesss with Zola on her chest.
"Okay, we should get started. Um, Bailey, we have some board business that we need to disc..."
Owen started but Miranda scoffed "I'm not going anywhere. Me and this baby got Bailey business to discuss. Don't we? Yes, Mr Bailey Avery Carmichael. Yes, we do"
Arizona chuckled "what does Zola think of him?" She asked
Meredith looked to her daughter who was clutching her mama in her sleep "I'm not sure, she hasn't looked at him long enough to say anything, she's been rather attached to Blake since she came back. Abandonment issues.." she said earning a pinch to her arm.
Meredith winced "Ow!"
"Let's not diagnose our daughter with issues yeah?" Blake said with a sigh "And she's tired. That woman at day care says she been drifting in and out of sleep, because of the storm.."
"By the way, where's Derek?" Blake asked "and Webber?"
Owen shook his head "Shepard is at a conference in LA and Webber.. well I paged all board members.."
Blake sighed "What's the reason for the meeting Owen?"
"The blood bank is flooded, and the E.R. looks like it was ransacked." Owen stated clearly.
Blake pursed her lips "so we need to close the ER because even if we get in touch with our suppliers the roads will still be too dangerous to travel."
"Right.."
Jackson walked in with a sling on his arm "You had a baby and you didn't tell 'me?!" He asked almost offended
Meredith rolled her eyes "yes well I believe you were too busy playing Superman to come and see."
Blake hummed with a laugh "Right, anyway, we should discharge who we can and take care of our inpatients.
