Blake was holding Zola in her arms "Are you sure you're okay with watching her for the weekend mum?" Blake asked as she stared at her mum.
Clarissa laughed and walked over "come on darling your father and I have been waiting for this." She smiled "Come over here my grand baby."
Zola giggled at her grandmother "Ma!"
"See she's happy to be with her grandma." Clarissa said bouncing her granddaughter up and down. "are you going to tell your wife you're leaving out of country?"
Blake sighed "No, I'm just going because dad talked me into it, and it's a great opportunity. So I'll see what they have to offer." She said dropping Zola's bag with all her clothes and items she needs "I'll call before she gets to sleep, she likes mashed potatoes with tiny bits of carrots. It's her favorite right now, uh she'll be a bit fussy—"
Clarissa laughed "Darling I've watched and raised you, I know how to take care of a one year old."
Blake sighed threading her fingers through her hair "I'm just worried, Meredith is in San Francisco and it's the first time Zola's in New York. It's a new place , she'll be restless. Both mer and I will face time at the same time so don't miss the call okay?"
Clarissa hummed and smiled softly at her daughter "Okay, now go you'll miss your flight."
Blake scoffed "It's a private jet they'll wait for me." She moved and kissed her daughter all over her face "Mama loves you so much, so be good for grandma and grandpa okay? I'll be back on Sunday afternoon for the latest." She said tearing up slightly when Zola blinked at her.
"Mama go?"
Blake hummed "Mm but mama doesn't want to go." She confirmed
Clarissa sighed "Go honey, St Thomas is waiting."
Blake picked up her overnight bag "Okay.." she kissed her daughter one last time "Bye bye Zo" she said softly there were tears in Zola's eyes which soon turned to crying but like her mother said she was an excellent grandmother.

Seattle airport
Meredith was walking through the airport when she spotted Cristina. She walked up to her friend "Hey! How was Dallas?"
Cristina groaned "ugh, I can run circles around the head of cardio. I'm sick of all this schlepping. From now on, they're gonna have to come to me. How was yours? Boston, right?"
Meredith shook her head "Uh no, San Francisco, I have Boston tomorrow , but I'm thinking of cancelling."
Cristina blinked "What? Only an idiot cancels on Brigham, and didn't Bailey set that up for you?"
Meredith pursed her lips "Uh no.. I just don't find the point. I mean we have a life here.." she sighed they noticed Jackson in the airport too.
"And I miss my daughter, but she's in new York with mom and dad." She groaned
Jackson smiled at them "Hey , how was Dallas and San Francisco?"
Cristina scoffed "Ugh, bad."
Meredith shrugged "It's was alright." She said simply
Jackson hummed "You hear back from Blake yet? She went to Columbia and St Thomas right?"
Meredith nearly tripped over her feet "What?"
