"Mum and dad are flying in, are you sure you're okay with picking them up at the airport Mer?" Blake asked as she dressed for the day. No one knew that she won the harper Avery, in fact Cristina said to keep it quiet, and have invite a few people over for a dinner party. Even though Blake and Meredith wouldn't be present.

Meredith laughed softly "Yeah, baby I have absolutely nothing to do today anyway. The laundry is done, I mean I even did the sheets and everyone's sheets.."

Blake nodded "Okay.. uh Cristina said they'd be getting caterers or whatever. Why are we hosting a dinner party when we won't even be here?"

Meredith smiled and walked up to her wife fixing her coats collar "Because Cristina wants to laugh at everyone's faces when they see you walk up on that stage and accept your award baby. Because that's the only bit of satisfaction she'll get since she's a bit jealous of you."

Blake hummed "Strange woman." She sighed and pecked Meredith's lips "I'll be home by 6pm , Catherine is sending.." she rolled her eyes "A car for us, and my parents and Jackie."

Meredith threw her arms around Blake's shoulders "Okay.. now give me a real kiss before you run off to save lives."

Blake wrapped her arms around Meredith's waist and pushed their lips together, the kiss was slow, Meredith opened her mouth, allowing Blake's tongue inside.. Breathing unfortunately became necessary and she pulled away..

"I really don't want to send you off to work now.." Meredith murmured against Blake's lips.

Blake chuckled "yeah.? Well I want to check in our little girl. Arizona is checking her over today, making sure she's healing well."

Meredith hummed "Good.. maybe I'll bring you lunch before I pick up mom and dad.."

Blake pecked her lips sweetly "Okay. Love you." She said and regretfully pulled away from her wife.

The day at the hospital was surprisingly slow? Jackson had been giving her knowing smiles all day, making references that no one else but he and Cristina understood. It was like a little game the two idiots had going on.

She was on Richards service and while things were tense between them, they worked together well. He apologized for the position he put Meredith in and the strain he caused on their marriage , while she could forgive Meredith because she loved Meredith she was under no such obligation with Richard. But she did anyway

She was filling in the last of her charts when she was nearly bowled over by Callie.

"Congratulations!" Blake hugged her back.

"Uh what?"

Callie grinned "Come on, you think news wouldn't travel fast around here?"

Blake went to speak "And why didn't you tell us that you and Meredith were approved ? Now Sofia will have a friend her age... and we can do play dates .."

The smile on Blake's face was automatic at the mention of her daughter, god just thinking about it caused so many butterflies in her belly. "Well we haven't signed all the papers yet but yeah.. mer and I are parents."

Callie clapped like some kind of teenager "oh we have to celebrate, is this why Yang invited us to your place tonight? To give the news?"

Blake smiled knowing that Christina didn't do it for that reason. "sure, she organized the entire thing. Since she's going be Zola's god mother.." she said with a slight shrug which wasn't technically a lie because Meredith did ask Christina and the Asian said yes almost immediately, which surprised her and confused her because the Asian didn't want her own kids but was happy to be Zola's god mother. She was going to ask Alex to be Zola's godfather.. but they hadn't been talking.
