A few weeks had passed since the paternity test confirmation. Jordan and Simone kept it to themselves because it was a lot to process. Overthinking lead to a lot of sleepless nights in Simone's case. She was brought right back to the Baker house when Jordan had excitedly showed her the nursery he created with Liv. How much she retreated after confessing only for her secret wish to be the truth all along.

She couldn't sleep so instead, she escaped Jordan's grip to slip on her smiley face house shoes and a robe heading downstairs. It was late and seeing the kitchen look like a mess nearly gave her a heart attack. She slipped on gloves and grabbed the appropriate cleaning supplies. Starting with the sink, she emptied the dishwasher and sat a few plates on the counter. Standing on her tippy toes, she attempted to reach the shelf with a plate and was almost successful until it landed on the floor crashing.

Out of frustration, she broke another one. Jordan woke up hearing a crash and didn't see Simone next time. He checked on the girls and ran down the steps frantic.

"Baby?" He called out.

No response made him panic as he searched the rooms for his wife. The laundry room , the garage , the , the office , the movie theater , the playroom , hell even the downstairs bathroom. He returned to the kitchen seeing the mess on the floor. Running his hand across his forehead, he went into the pantry to get the boom and dust pan. Whimpering stopped him as he turned on the light seeing Simone on the floor in tears shaking.

"There you are. I've been looking for you, you scared me." He whispered sitting next to her bringing her into his lap.

Simone hugged him burying herself into him. Even though he was confused, he still consoled her. Jordan didn't know where to begin but he wanted some answers as to why she was hiding in their pantry in tears. He knew it couldn't be the pregnancy hormones.

"What's wrong with my girl? Hm?" He rubbed circles against her back.

Her words were muffled and Jordan couldn't make out a single thing.

"Simone, breathe. Just breathe..Take your time." He moved a piece of hair from her face.

"I gave our baby away and I didn't get to hold him or name him myself and god, your mom hated me and my mom minus well had resented me." She blinked with fresh tears rolling down her face.

He didn't realize that this could open old wounds. His mother was so quick to ruin everything. She boiled it down to Simone not having good parenting and wanting to pin the blame of her being "knocked up" on her only son. Simone just needed someone in her corner and Jordan wanted to be that someone regardless of what anyone else felt.

"My love, we can't change the past. We were both young , in love and impulsive. Shay grew up in a great home." Jordan's facial features softened.

His thumbs wiped her face seeing that it was useless. Simone kept things bottled up. She didn't want anyone to think she was this raging bitch because she didn't get along with DA Laura Baker at first. The confirmation just sent her emotions into overdrive.

Jordan remembered the night she was determined to leave and move out. How much she wanted him to move on and go about his life. She didn't want his help or his parents' money. It was hard to let her go the first time and even harder when they broke up their freshman year of college. He didn't know what to say to make her feel better. It would've been nice to raise Shay with Simone but he knew the truth - it would've been hard.

"Let's get you back in bed. You need to sleep." He cradled her.  She had exhausted herself and that made him question his decision. Despite the tears , Simone knew that deep down she was happy to be proven right. The drama that happened however still weighed heavy. Simone nodded pushing herself off the floor.
