Y/n awoke the next morning, head throbbing. She was still in the same clothes from the night before, and her face caked in dry tears. She slowly climbed out of bed, and looked at her nightstand. The walkie that the boys had given her sat there. It didn't really work unless Y/n got further into Hawkins, since her and her dad lived out the road a bit.

There was also a note on her nightstand. Y/n grabbed the note, and instantly recognized her dads slightly sloppy handwriting.

You don't have to go to school, take the day to rest if you want. There's some eggs and bacon on the counter for you. -love dad

She walked into the livingroom and her dad was nowhere in sight, at work already she assumed. Y/n looked over at the phone, wondering if she should call Mike and check on him. She took a deep breath, and asked herself why it was even a question. She walked over to the phone, and quickly dialed Mike's house, having the number memorized by heart. The dial tone rang a few times, before it was aggressively picked up.

"Hello?" Y/n could hear Mike say, seeming to be in a hurry.

"Mike, hey-"

"Ah, Y/n, I was just about to call you!" Mike said in an overly cheerful tone.

"Uhm, you sound cheerful." Y/n said gently, clearing her throat.

"Yeah, uhm big favor. Can you meet us at the middle school, we wanna show you something." Mike asked.

"Uhm, Mike I dunno, I mean I have school too. Can't you just tell me?" Y/n asked hesitantly.

"It's Will, he's alive." Mike said, "And I have proof."

"What?" Y/n breathed her heart racing, thinking that Mike might be in denial "We-we saw his body, he can't be." She whispered.

"Y/n, please, just trust me." Mike begged, "Get to the school as fast as you can." And then he hung up without a word.

Standing there completely dumbfounded, Y/n hung the phone up. Slowly she took a few steps back, and moved into her room. She was confused on what the hell Mike was on about, Y/n just sighed and quickly started getting dressed.

Y/n soon arrived at the school just as the boys, and that girl rode up. It took Y/n a second to realize she was there, quickly parking her car she got out.

"Mike, what the hell?" Y/n questioned quickly walking over to them, "Why is she here, why are we even here?" She asked.

"He didn't tell you?" Lucas asked, with a look over at Mike.

"He told me Will was a alive, and he had proof, and I needed to meet him here." Y/n said sighing, "Again, why is the girl with powers here?"

"Just c'mon." Mike said as the five walked inside the school, "Remember, if anyone sees us, look sad."

"Lets hope no one sees us, I didn't think I'm supposed to be here." Y/n said frowning.

"Attention students, there will be an assembly to honor Will Byers in the gymnasium now. Do not go to fourth period." Someone on the PA announced.

"It's locked." Mike said, after attempting to open the door to the audio visuals room.

"What." Lucas breathed moving forward to try it himself.

"Hey, do you think you can open it?" Dustin asked Eleven, "With yout powers." He clarified.

That when a teacher walked around the corner, it was Mr. Clarke one of Y/n's old teachers "Boys?" He questioned.
