Y/n sat in an ambulance outside, her head down. A EMT was wrapping up her side, best he could do. She was onlybin her bra, since it was the best way to get access. Stevev stood nearby, making sure she was okay. Y/n looked around in search of her dad, knowing he'd be back any second.

"All right, you're all good to go." The female EMT said "You should probably go to the hospital just in case she said."

Y/n nodded "Thank you." She said kindly, stepping down from the van.

Steve was instantly at her side "Hey, take it easy." He said gently.

Y/n shook her head "I need to find my dad." She said, looking around.

She then saw Joyce and Will together. Y/n made eye contact with Joyce, as she looked over Will's shoulder. She looked between two spots, and Y/n looked over to see El before looking back at the older woman. Joyce then shook her head.

"Y/n?" Steve asked worriedly, seeing that look of horror and dread on her face.

Y/n felt like she had been stabbed in the heart, and she collapsed against Steve. Startled Steve still managed to catch her, sitting her down on the pavement. Y/n let out a sob as her body began to shake, she felt so numb. Tears began falling down Y/n's face, and she shook her head.

"He-he can't be gone." Y/n whimpered "Dad." She cried.

Y/n looked over at El who was now looking at her, tears falling down her face as well. El rushed over to her, and crouched down beside her. Y/n moved off Steve, and hugged El. The two of them sat together, sobbing at their loss.

Two months had passed, two long painful months. Y/n was struggling to deal with her grief, and went silent for weeks after the funeral. She couldn't believe her dad was really gone, that she'd never get to see him again. She wouldn't be able to hear his voice.

Y/n had been bouncing back and forth between Joyce's house, and Steve's house. About a month ago Joyce had decided to move, and has been planning since and would be leaving next month. Joyce offered to let Y/n come with, but she denied. She couldn't leave Hawkins, she couldn't leave Steve.

El would be going with though, Y/n had to force her. She knew it would be better. Y/n didn't have a stable job, or a stable place to stay. And ever since Y/n had told El that she wasn't going with, El had become very distant.

When Mike found out, he yelled and screamed at Y/n. He even said a few hateful things, that made Y/n just want to disappear. After a few days though, he came back to Y/n. Crying and apologizing over and over, saying how he didn't want to lose her again.

Y/n was currently at Steve's house, his parents, or rather his mother allowed her to stay as long as she needed. The woman was rather sweet, but Steve's father wasn't. He was distant, and cold. Y/n truly forgot how Mr. Harrington was, and he had definitely gotten worse over the years.

Steve was actively look for a place, just for the two of them. He didn't want to stay in his parents house, he hated it enough already. And with his parents house it made things worse.

Y/n was reading a book downstairs, the Harrington's had left for town again, and Steve was out job hunting. The house was quite, it gave Y/n a headache. The phone on the wall began ringing loudly, pushing herself Y/n walked over and answered.

"Harrington, residence, the Mister and Misses aren't home right now. Can I take a message?" Y/n asked in a kind voice, even though she had no enthusiasm.
