After going over the plan, several more times they were ready. Steve first dropped off Lucas, Max, and Erica, and then they went to Eddie's. The group climbed through the gate. Eddie and Dustin stood outside the trailer with their gear, watching Steve, Nancy, Robin, and Y/n.

Steve paused and looked at the two "Hey, guys, listen." He said "If things here start to go south, I mean, at all, you abort. Okay? Draw attention of the bats. Keep 'en busy for a minute or two. We'll take care of Vecna."

Y/n joined Steve and nodded "There's no reason for you two to do more than we've talked about." She said, anxiety coursing through her veins.

"Don't try to be cute or a hero or something." Steve added "Okay? You guys are just-"

"Decoys." Dustin ans Steve said simultaneously.

"Don't worry. You can be the hero, Steve." Dustin said.

"Absolutely. I mean, look at us." Eddie said motioning to him and Dustin "We are not heros."

Steve nodded "C'mon babe." He mumbled.

Y/n nodded "Stay safe you two." She said, before following after her boyfriend.

"Hey, Steve? Y/n?" Eddie called making the two pause, and look back at him "Make him pay."

Y/n gave Eddie a firm nod "Don't worry, we will." She said "Keep Roast Beef safe for me. Please." She begged, looking back at Dustin who was staring at the trailer.

Eddie nodded "Of course." He said, a small smile on his face.

The group of four walked through the woods, Nancy and Robin walked close together. While Steve and Y/n walked behind them, their hands intertwined.

"Uh...I don't mean to freak anyone out, but I swear we've seen this tree before." Robin said, aiming her light at the tree she was talking about.

"How the hell can you tell any of these trees apart?" Y/n asked looking around, everything looked the same here.

"This impossible." Nancy said shaking her head.

"That would suck, right?" Robin asked with a laugh, "If Vecna destroyed the world because...'cause we got lost in the woods?"

"We're not lost, Robin." Nancy said while Robin just chuckled, and walked off "I'm gonna go make sure she doesn't get hurt." She said before hurrying after Robin.

"God, she's really stressed." Steve said looking over at Y/n.

Y/n sighed "She's not the only one." She admitted, looking to where the two had disappeared "God I hope they're careful, Robin is a mega klutz."

Steve laughed "You can say that again." He said "Remember the day she knocked over an entire shelf?"

Y/n snorted with laughter "I still don't even know how she managed that!" She exclaimed.

"Neither do I, but it was funny as fuck." Steve said.

"You know, apparently it took Rob longer to walk than most babies." Y/n informed with a small laugh.

Steve chuckled "I really shouldn't laugh." He said "When I was a baby I actually crawled backwards."

Y/n gasped and looked over at him "Really?" She asked.
