Months had gone and passed, and so much had happened for Y/n Hopper. Secrets were being kept, and lies were told. But everything was going amazing at the same time, no hint of the upside down or anything.

Charlie was gone, and Y/n was heartbroken. But she was glad to have her friends help her cope with it. Y/n made sure to give the redhead her number, so that she could call when they got to her new house.

Y/n and Jim had began staying at her grandparents old cabin, that had been passed down to her dad after they passed. It was the safest, and most hidden place to keep their big secret. Eleven. Jim had found Eleven out in the snowy forest, and brought her to his cabin.

When Y/n saw the young girl, she was in shock. Everyone thought she was dead, hut she wasn't. From then on Jim and Y/n kept her hidden from the public eye, not telling anyone where they were now staying. Hopper of course had to make some renovations to the cabin, so there was room for all three of them to stay.

Jim had put strict ruels in place for both girls, but mostly Eleven. They had to be careful so that no one found out about her, meaning Y/n would have to lie to everyone. Lie to Mike who had been heartbroken about losing the girl, which made her feel nothing but guilt. She felt like she was betraying the party.

Y/n and Steve's friendship had fully mended, even though it took a little. But now it was almost like nothing had happened. The two constantly hung out, had movie nights even whenever they weren't busy.

Currently Y/n was at Steve's, watching a movie. It was late night, and they were watching Star Wars; The Empire Strikes Back. They had seen this movie a million times, but Star Wars in general was their favorite thing to watch.

"When are you working again?" Steve asked, while watching Lando Calrissian passive aggressively greet Han Solo.

"Uhmm, after tomorrow, Monday after school." Y/n grumbled stealing the bowl of popcorn from her friend.

"Hey!" Steve complained looking over at her.

"What, you've been hogging it the entire time." Y/n said shoving him gently with her hand, "You'll live without it for a bit."

Steve rolled his eyes "I have not been hogging it." He mumbled childishly.

Late that night, Y/n knocked on the cabin door. Using the secret knock her dad had taught them, so they knew it was safe.

Two knocks, a pause, then one knock, another pause, and then two more final knocks

The door unlocked, and Y/n opened it walking inside. Eleven sat in front of the TV, watching whatever was on. Y/n assumed she had used her powers to open the door, especially since Jim wasn't home yet.
