𝖂illow Iris Bellamy. A name strongly associated with nature. Willow trees, Iris flowers and Bellamy meant fair and a good friend. I suppose there was no shock when I was sorted into Hufflepuff house at Hogwarts in my first year, the house of loyalty, patience and a prosperity for hard work. My god father always taught me about the importance of nature and animals, I was brought up around many magical creatures he had discovered until he had to come back to England. I sometimes feel slightly guilty that he had to stop his travels around the world to collect as many creatures as possible, but he always says i'm more important and it was his duty to look after me.
"Teddy, do you have my earrings?" I questioned to the niffler on my bed, a guilty look on his face. I chuckled, walking over and pulling my silver earrings resembling flowers out of his front pouch. Nifflers. You can't trust them around anything shiny. "I'll tell you what, Teddy, you can have one of my necklaces whilst i'm gone, okay?"
"You might regret that, he'll choose the shiniest one" My god father, Newt, appeared at my doorway, leaning against the wall. I had been living with my god father as long as I could remember, he had been given custody to me when both of my parents passed away unexpectedly when I was barely one. Apparently they were all best friends at Hogwarts when they were there and that's why i'm his god daughter and he was given the responsibility of looking after me. I'm thankful for him, he has given me the best life possible and I will be forever grateful.
"A promise is a promise" I hummed, placing my earrings in my ear, tucking my bright blonde hair behind my ear. I had quite peculiar features, people often point out as soon as they catch a glimpse at me. Growing up hearing people say 'oh wow, your eyes are different colours', you kind of get used to being stared at. I had one eye coloured like the ocean, arctic blue, juxtaposed to my deep hazel eye with flecks of golden and green like small gem stones in the very centre. My heterochromia made me unique, I admired being different.
"You are too much like your mum" He smiled, my heart warming. He meant my personality, of course I wouldn't know, so I trust his words. In regards to my appearance, I look more like my dad, he was bright blonde, with light coloured eyes like one of mine of veela inheritance, my hazel eye coming from my mum. "You're ready to go?"
"Yes" I nodded, pulling on my white converse high tops, already being ready. I had decided to wear my oversized denim overalls with a white sweatshirt underneath, my platinum blonde hair straightened with two small braids flowing down near the front of my face.
Today I would be going back to Hogwarts for my fifth year, my OWL year. The past couple of years had been amazing, I absolutely loved Hogwarts, it was like a second home to me although it didn't compare to our cozy cottage in Yorkshire. I will never forget walking through those great oak doors for the very first time. It's incomparable to anything else.
We apparated on to platform 9 and 3/4, moving over to a far corner near the red steam train, not wanting to be bombarded by people at this moment. My god father was fairly famous in the Wizarding World for his books on Fantastic Beasts: And Where To Find Them and he was a part of defeating the dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald. He didn't really want to draw attention to us today, therefore we sheltered away whilst he said goodbye.
