𝕽emus bit his tongue to prevent himself from humming as he leaned back in his seat in the middle of the great hall, stretching his legs out comfortably under the desk. They were in the last moments of their last OWL exam, DADA, which happened to be a fairly easy one for him to complete. He glances around as the noises of the quills scratching on the parchment filled up the hall with occasional squeaks from the chairs or if someone tipped over their ink— which James had done behind him ten minutes into the exam.

He scrunches his face up, before softening considerably when he saw a flash of pearly blonde hair in the row in front of him, just to the left, writing away with her head practically resting on the desk as she wrote. He wasn't able to see her face properly, but he knew her tongue would he sticking out in concentration like usual, his heart swelling at the thought. He bit his thumb as he gazed at her, his eyes full with an emotion he's choosing not to label, observing her tuck her hair behind her ears, giving him a view of her yellow painted fingernails.

Sirius had said they were Hufflepuff yellow, he disagreed, they were buttercup yellow, not that he voiced that to the long haired boy, buttercups were their thing and their thing only.

He could practically hear the soft sigh fall from her lips when she relaxed in her chair, raising her head up to the clock to see she finished with minutes to spare. He stretched her cramped hand out whilst checking over what she had written, before nodding in agreement with herself. She was happy with what she had done. If she was happy, he was happy. He didn't care about the sappy expression on his face as he stared at her, who wouldn't be in his position? The most amazing girl in the world was his girlfriend, she was his.

He packed his things up when Moore collected all of their papers up with a nod of the head signalling the end of the exam, most students fleeing out of the great hall to go outside in the hot, summery sunshine with their friends— extremely happy exams were over. He smiled whole heartedly when she stood up, about to sling her bag over her shoulder when he took it from her from behind, her eyes meeting his when she twirled around, smiling up at him,

"No loitering Bellamy, Lupin....the exam is finished you may leave. No talking until you've left" Moor piped up from the front of the hall, making me realise it was only Remus and I left, the rest of the group stood outside the doors waiting, my eyes rolling when I turned to the professor, speaking uninterestedly,

"Oh fuck you, Moore...bastard"

"Detention Bellamy!" He said sternly, Remus not even covering his snort from my comment, shrugging his shoulders when the professor sent me a pointed glare,

"I'm sorry professor, I'm flattered but you're not really my type to put it frankly, i'll um- i'll let the other underage halfbreeds know you're interested" I told him with a sarcastic smile, saluting my middle finger to him before turning around with Remus, his arm sliding along my shoulders as the both of us ignored his call backs and spluttered none sense as we approached the group, the great hall doors shutting behind us,
