"𝕳ello, love" I heard a familiar voice chirp from behind me, my eyebrow quirking, spinning around to find the one and only James Potter stood before me in his glory, a goofy grin on his face that didn't quite meet his eyes, a faint frown on my face from his expression. James was the sun, he was the endless burst of happiness, the light of everyone and everything, yet I could see something bothering him, and I didn't like it. Not one bit.
"Jamesie-deer, how are you?" I asked, watching his face falter slightly, his hazel eyes flashing with a swift of emotion before he covered it up quickly, mustering back up a smile and shrugging,
"I'm brilliant, how are you?"
"I'll be brilliant when you tell me the truth and don't lie" I told him softly, stepping forward and stepping on my tiptoes, fixing his glasses on his face whilst he averted his eyes away, visibly gulping, "Just a bad day in general, feeling down?"
"I suppose. I went and sent some flowers to mum in case she needed cheering up too because I was thinking, if i'm having a bad day what if she is too? And I don't want her to have a bad day, so I sent her some of her favourite flowers, those pink ones, they look quite fluffy— er I can't remember the name....penny?"
"Peonies" I answered for him, his head nodding in confirmation, my heart swelling uncontrollably in my chest at the action he just told me about. If my son loves me as much as James Potter loves Mia Potter, I think I would never let him go ever. I love that, boys who love and appreciate their mothers, if they treat them right, they'll treat you right. Supposedly, there's always an odd few in every theory like that— the majority, "You're sweet, James"
"Although I don't think dad would like flowers if he was having a bad day....though mum could probably cheer him up for me if I gave her flowers, that would work..." He pondered to himself, my lips tugging upwards into a genuine smile,
"Potter parents are happy then, what about you? Where's the rest of the boys?" I quizzed, his head cocking to the side, holding three fingers as he tried to remember each of the boys,
"Padfoot is off with Scarlette somewhere I think, you probably already know that. Wormy is in the dorm, he was quite tired I think, didn't sleep properly last night so I told him to rest. Not sure where Moony is to be honest, I presumed he would be with you, you know because you're together and all"
"Remus and I aren't together" I muttered, his head tilting to the side, a perplexed expression on his face,
"Are you sure?"
"I'd like to think I would know if i'm dating someone" I replied, a murmur of surprise leaving his lips, his lips parted keeping his frown,
"Oh right, well I just presumed your together, you know because he looks at you the way I look at Lily even more romantically than I do, and you obviously return the feelings, you're always together so I just thought you were dating" He mumbled, running a hand through his messy hair, whilst I felt a blush raising up the back of my neck,
