𝕾irius grinned, spotting the hufflepuff girl resting on one of the large window ledges on the eighth floor, her nose deep in a book. He bites back a chuckle as he strolls closer in the dark, empty hallway, managing to spot the hidden niffler snoozing between her and the window with a galleon as somewhat of a pillow. Her legs are stretched out comfortably down the gap in the brick walls, her top half drowning in one of Remus' sweaters, making his heart warm.
He silently climbs into the small space on the opposite side of her, his legs meeting her hips at the side of her as he fumbles around in his pocket before slipping a cigarette in between his lips, lighting it up with a small sigh before scanning over her face again. She's not took notice of him as of yet, but the small twitch in her lips and the wriggle in her nose to push her reading glasses up further.
He carefully pushes open the window a little to breathe out some of his smoke but not enough to make her cold due to the fairly breezy temperatures of September in Scotland. The definition of pathetic fallacy, he decides, the gloomy weather was hand in hand with the cruel war taking place in the Wizarding World. He didn't really mind the weather though, he feels at home on dark days in the castle as strange as it sounds, it's fairly serene.
"How are you, mon rêve?" I inquired, nudging the raven haired boy with my foot, not sparing a glance up from my book to the boy as he chuckles, taking another puff of his cigarette before answering in a rasped tone,
"As normal as I can be, mon soleil"
"Odd then. That's okay, i'm odd too" I hummed, finally raising my head up to find him staring at me with sparkling grey eyes, a quirk on his pale pink lips when he leaned his head back against the stone walls, holding his cigarette out of the window.
"Of course you are, baby, one of a kind" He teased, feeling fairly satisfied when she sent him a flat look for the pet name she's expressed her dislike for in the past. He likes winding her up though for it, it's one of his specialties.
He can already see she's trying to cool off for some reason, no one in the group had seen her all day, not even Scarlette or Remus, but they decided whatever she was doing, she probably had good reason to be doing it, and they should leave her be. He stumbled across her though, and he wanted to check in.
He leans forwards, fixing her glasses when they fell down the bridge of her nose, his hands reaching to tuck her pearly hair behind her ears as he whispers softly,
"What's the matter, Lolo?"
"I'm mad" I answered simply, avoiding his gaze as I looked down to a peaceful looking Teddy down besides me, trying to take a deep breath so I didn't get too angry again. I'd already burnt my arm earlier when I exploded in Dumbledore's office, accidentally exerting some of my fire.
"Would you like to talk about it, or would you like me to leave you be?" He questions, not wanting to push her into talking or anger her even more than she was already. If she wanted him to leaver her alone, he would with no hesitation until later on when she's ready to talk again.
