𝕴 swallowed thickly, my eyes roaming over the boy as I carefully wrapped my arms around his delicate stature, feeling him weakly reciprocate the hug.

We did this every full moon before he leaves for the Whomping Willow with Madame Pomfrey for the transformation, the boys shortly joining after in their animagi forms. This one feels different though, as though something feels wrong, bad, and as much as we haven't spoken about it, I know he can feel it inside him too, buried deep under the heavy ache of his bones and head.

I couldn't help but worry, but I know I can't do anything, there's no way I can prevent him from transforming at the height of the full moon, the only thing that settles mind is the fact the boys will be there to keep him company and occupied. Even then, there's not much they can do to prevent a werewolf from doing what he's got set in his mind— I can only help him before and afterwards as much as I want to help at the actual moment I can't.

He knows she's worried, she can feel something wrong about this particular full moon, he can see the hidden haze behind her eyes, and he completely trusts her. Why? Because it's Willow's Weird Witchcraft and she has a flaring sense of intuition. There's nothing he can do for her though except hold her until he has to go, and try to reassure her despite the intense burning pain all over his body.

He buries his face into the dip of her shoulder and her pearly hair, the scent of her lemons soothing some of his aches. "I know, Re, it's okay" I whispered back, hearing Madame Pomfrey appear behind me, symbolising it was time for him to go, a knot forming in the back of my throat when I pulled away, cupping his heated cheeks in my hands, his honey orbs drooping as they peered into my different coloured ones, a feeble smile on his face when I reached up and kissed the button of his nose, murmuring almost silently, "I love you"

"I love you. Buttercups tomorrow?" He rasped, my head nodding in agreement with a smile, raising up his arm and pressing a gentle kiss to his wrist, before backing away, Madame Pomfrey squeezing my arm in consolation as I made my way out of the hospital wing towards the Gryffindor common room i'd be staying in with Scarlette and Regulus waiting for the other three to come back during the night— it's not like i'll get any sleep anyway.

I rubbed my forehead as I stepped into the common room, immediately jogging up to the boys dorms, knocking quietly before being greeted with the sight of Scarlette, a sad smile on her face as she brought me in, my face void of any emotion as I walked over and laid on top of his bed immediately. I stared up at the ceiling of the bed, spreading my arms and legs out as his comforting scent invaded my lungs, Scarlette and Regulus exchanging a silent glance when I spoke up,
