𝕿he tinted coloured leaves surrounding the marquee flowed naturally from the trees in the fall weather as the day progressed on, the once glowing daylight replaced by darkness with twinkling moon and star lights hanging from the ceiling in swirls. Crescent moons from the starry sky, blooming flowers from the earth with hearts resting full in between.
Cheerful chatter and laughs echoed in the tent as everyone finished their meals after the toasts at their set table places, occasionally glancing over to the top table Remus and I were seated at with our friends, undoubtedly sharing their opinions on the brilliant decoration and ceremony, waiting for the evening to resume to celebrate.
I drifted my eyes across the tent with burning cheeks from smiling, feeling a fixed gaze on the side of my face, driving my heart to stutter as I finally rested my eyes on him, his lips quirking into that stupid lazy grin of his.
"Yes?" I asked sweetly, raising my eyebrow as I leaned into the arm he wrapped around my chair to hold me closer as he leans in to press a lingering kiss to my cheek, whispering softly,
"Just admiring my wife, is that okay with you?"
My cheeks warmed as a dreamy wave washed over me from his words comparing to none but the glimmering oceans drowning me of my adoration for him. I nodded my head eagerly, his thumb pressing to the inked 'meus lupus' under my collar bone with the lunar phases, my lips quirking into a coy smile, murmuring,
"Perfectly okay"
He hums contentedly, nuzzling his nose at her cheek with no cares of how ridiculously soppy and pathetic it could seem to others. This was their day, their moment, the beginning of their lives together being bonded, and right now he decides he could die happy knowing this being was his for the forever he promised to give her.
"Are you definitely sure you've chosen the right one, mon soleil, I have some divorce papers ready....and my motorbike is in the shed, we can still run away together" Sirius piped up cheekily, causing Remus to raise his head and send him a flat glare, laughter erupting through the group when my wolf flipped him off and tugging me closer.
"Merlin...you're married. Actually married, husband and wife married" James breathed out in a disbelieving sigh as he leaned backwards in his chair, Peter nodding his head, adding thoughtfully,
"Who would of thought Moony being the first to get hitched. I always thought Prongs would one day propose to Lily and she'd end up saying yes by accident...then he'd force her to marriage because she said yes"
Regulus grumbled, shuffling closer to James and resting his hand on his thigh for a state claim, the action not being missed by Sirius as he insists,
"Please..no PDA, I don't want to witness it"
They both scoff, turning to each other and sharing a quick kiss in spite if the raven haired boy, my heart filling to the brim with warmth when James let out a dreamy sigh, melting into the Slytherin as he fixed his crooked glasses, pecking his jaw before sipping his champagne.
