"𝕴'm so in love with you, Willow"
If my heart could burst, I think it would have done at this particular moment, peering directly into this boy's eyes, the boy who just sang a song which happened to be one of our favourites, dancing around with me— and then changed the lyric to suit me. I thought my heart might freeze if I heard him say the worlds, but it's never felt more alive. I felt the beats all over my entire body as he weakly up on him, the both of us clinging on to each other for strength.
He's never been patient, he knows that, especially when they argued the first time they kissed— he was mad because he was running out of patience with her for not answering him, he wasn't a Hufflepuff for a reason. He was a Gryffindor, courageous and brave, which is why he took the step and admitted his true feelings. She's a Hufflepuff though, a strong, protective Hufflepuff and he knew he couldn't rush a reply, no matter what she said back, he'd have to wait and feel his heart sink or swim depending on her words.
The words of the song are engraved into my mind, thinking back to moments ago— this morning, hell even the past months when my feelings for this werewolf began to brew, growing stronger and stronger each day. It was unexpected, this love, I didn't expect to bump into him on the train, or become his friend— best friend if you will, like the Marauders. I didn't expect to feel like he was the only person in the world who could claim my heart the way he has done, fairly easily in my opinion.
Eleven year old Willow Bellamy would be astounded she'd be in Remus Lupin's arms whilst he confessed his love for her in the mere future. The same eleven year old who would watch the four Marauders from afar as they 'charmed' people with their words and smiles, pranking people, majority being the Slytherins. The same Willow Bellamy who would that would always look a little differently to Remus Lupin as though she felt they would have some sort of connection, a shared feeling or understanding if you will. She thought it would be being beings when she found out about his lycanthropy, now it's not only that, I realised....it's love.
Deep, mad, insane, unparalleled love.
I breathed out shakily, flickering my eyes between his coloured ones as he bit his lip nervously, our cheeks rosy pink as I finally responded in a whisper as soft as a kiss,
"I'm so in love with you, Remus"
He was too stunned to speak, any words her formed in his brain would be caught by the lump in his throat or lost on his tongue. He's not sure whether to burst into tears or laugh at her reply, finding himself melting completely into her. She's in love with him too. Willow, his Willow, his buttercup loves him back— and he's not sure if he's ever felt like he has done at this moment. Their first kiss holds a special place in his heart, much like when they first bumped into each other nearly a year ago, but this, them confessing their love. This tops everything.
