"𝕿here we are, she seems all healthy to me"

Madame Pomfrey hummed gently, nodding her head in agreement of herself once checking over Maple to see if she was healthy. Remus and I shared a glance of relief from the reassurance, then smiling towards the Mediwitch gratefully.

Remus hunched himself over, taking witch's position when she perched on the couch with the others. Smiling lovesickly down to his daughter, he presses a kiss to her tiny hand once fitting her back into her yellow sleep suit, scooping her to rest in his arms.

"I'd say if you had a feeling something was wrong, find a Paediatrician, but everything looks normal and well with her to me" Madame Pomfrey assured, bringing her tea up to her lips, Sprout nodding her head enthusiastically in agreement, a snort escaping Scarlette, muttering mirthfully,

"Pom, you have no idea, you work with scary poisonous plants for a living, this is a bit different"

Sprout shot a warning glance towards the Slytherin with wrinkled eyes in the corners, Mcgonagall shaking her head with a tut, though eyebrows raising up when Sirius gracefully entered the living room, handing her a cup of tea with a charming grin, leading her to ask suspiciously,

"What have you done?"

He scoffed, placing his hand over his heart offendedly, about to defend his honour when Remus answered for him, settling down on the spot besides me with Maple,

"He's just trying to prove himself godfather worthy, Minnie. Ignore him"

The three witches arched their eyebrows further when the raven haired boy then slumped, shooting us an indignant look to which Scarlette rolled her eyes. A sigh escaped me, knowing what the next question was going to be, eyes landing on our dozing baby Remus was cradling, murmuring,

"We haven't chosen godfather because someone will be left out. James and Regulus will choose Sirius for theirs, whoever we choose there'll be a whiny argument anyway. She can have four unofficial godfathers"

This caused Scarlette to flare with pride, flipping her hair over her shoulder, then pointing her finger to the oblivious baby, silver band shining brightly on her finger, a happy grin stretched, claiming, "It's you and I against the world, Mae baby"

Sirius sucked in a breath, coming to rest on the arm of the chair besides his fiancée, hands tangling in her chocolate up-do, sending a sorrowful glance towards their hufflepuff, "It seems you've been replaced, mon soleil. Willoette gone, but not forgotten. Suppose that's what you get for naming her after her favourite syrup"

My nose wrinkled up, despite the pot of warmth and joy stirring in my chest from Scarlette's unconditional love for her goddaughter just a day in to her life, reaching to poke the Slytherin's cheek with a mumble, "Whatever will I do..."
