𝕾carlette peered up from the Witch Weekly Magazine she'd nicked from downstairs earlier, her eyebrows shooting to her hairline, exchanging a glance with Regulus when their fluffy badger trudged into the room.
"Fucking hell, what happened to you?" Regulus mumbles, soaking in her half lidded eyes and pale facial complexion, her lips puckered as she groans, rubbing her hand over her forehead. He stands up, managing to band his arm around her and tug her to perch on his lap for a few moments, Scarlette sitting forward in concern, muttering,
"You look like you had a nice round of shots last night, you and Rem up all night?"
I nodded my head weakly, pressing my forehead against Regulus' temple beneath his curls, going along with their assumptions. They didn't need to know I had just locked myself away in my guest room in the manor with a bout of rough morning sickness because of the smell of bacon sizzling in the kitchen.
As much as these two snakes were my best friends, and the other Marauders too, I had already decided I wanted Remus to be the first to know about our baby— and I most certainly didn't want to draw attention away from James and Regulus on their special day, leading me to murmur,
"Something like that"
"You nutter, it's today you're supposed to get smashed, afterwards. I will be, i'm marrying a ball of sunshine— an actual fucking deer, antlers and everything" Regulus retorted, fingertips ghosting my arms in attempt for consolation as I curled further into his body, replying in a soft sigh,
"That little ball of sunshine happens to be the man of your dreams. You seem awfully chilled, i'm sure he's freaking out, pacing up and down whilst your brother taunts and says you're running away"
Scarlette snorts amusedly at my words, nodding her head in agreement as she plays with the ends of my hair, deciding happily, "We'll take your word for it, Willow's Weird Witchcraft. Do tell me whether i'll have my hair in curls or straight because I can't decide"
"Curls will look nice I think" Regulus opines, after pondering for a few moments, hand briefly leaving my arms to coil a strand around his finger, then humming in agreement with himself.
"Yeah, Reg's right. Curls" I hummed gently, the three of us glancing to the door when we heard a gentle knock, Remus peeping his head in cautiously, then trudging inside with a glass of water with his eyes locked on me, voicing slowly,
"Wormtail told me he heard you retching in your room when he passed by..."
I smiled sheepishly at him, taking the cool glass of water from him and taking a small sip, Scarlette shaking her head, sniggering, "She doesn't need bloody water, everyone knows the best hangover cure is coffee and a fry up"
Remus furrowed his eyebrows confusedly, briefly looking towards the brunette and then towards his wife, about to ask what she meant by hangover, though paused when he saw Willow's meaningful expression. He wasn't sure as to why she'd lead them to believe they were drinking last night but he knew she'd have good reason, which is why he chuckled, returning,
