𝕿he next Hogsmeade weekend came around, and more students were growing increasingly excited to go to the village at the winter time of year, it certainly made you feel more festive for sure.
The cinnamon sprinkled on top of your warm butterbeer when you go to the Three Broomsticks to warm up by the crackling fires, cheeks red from windburn. The carols that the public sing for entertainment in groups to uplift spirits in these dark times. The rather large Christmas tree secured in the middle of the village, igniting warmth in everyone's hearts. It felt so magical, which was ironic, when you think about how we should probably be used to magic by now, but the magic of Christmas will be something i'll never get used to.
Remus and I decided that we we're probably due a proper date, just some romantic and private time for the both of us which is why we agreed to go together, much like all the couples in our group, though I don't doubt we'll all re group or chat when we all arrive at the same destination.
Securing my brown mittens on my hands, I arrived at the arranged meeting spot..the entrance hall, spying my Gryffindor waiting with a glowing cigarette between his lips, staring out at the carriages and excited students dressed from head to toe in toasty warm clothes.
I took the moment to observe the boy, feeling my heart beat significantly increase as my eyes soaked in his accustomed outfit, frayed converse, brown trousers and a patterned knitted sweater with his coat over the top. What really coat my eye was the mocha coloured beanie on his head with sandy curls peeping underneath. Handsome. Truly handsome.
I approached slowly with a soft smile, piping up,
"I have other ways to keep your lips warm, you know?"
Remus jumped abruptly, clutching his chest with wide eyes as he whipped his head around to his girlfriend, trying to shake off the frightened jolt still remaining in his coursing veins as he muttered,
"Merlin, Willow, don't do that. I nearly had a heart attack"
"That would have been ironic, having a heart attack whilst smoking but it being caused by me. I'd be upset if you died on me now to be honest" I told him, fixing my white earmuffs on my hair, locking eyes with him when he merely hummed, putting out his cigarette.
He chose to ignore her comment, deciding to take a look of the angel that must have been sent from heaven for him. His mouth runs dry and his previous anxiousness builds up when he glimpses her jean attired thighs and cream cable sweater, enveloped in a puffy coat. He bites down on his lip observing the bouncing curls on the tips of her platinum hair sprawled across her shoulders, her usual earmuffs to keep her ears warm from the cold. Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful.
I tried to prevent the blush from spreading to my cheeks though it was no use, not when he's staring at me so detailedly and carefully. I wait patiently for him to speak up again, shuffling forward towards him and slipping my mittened hands into his coat, brightly looking up to him as he looked down.
