𝕽emus was nervous. Nervous like he was when she came over for dinner in the holidays, nervous like when they spent that day together in the little town, nervous like when he gave her the buttercup pendant. He's always nervous around Willow, she definitely has that effect on him. Today, they're going on their first date— they're dating, and he couldn't be happier considering he probably began liking the girl as soon as they met on the train. Happy nerves, he decided, what he was feeling was happy nerves.
He'd spent a little longer than usual in the shower this morning as he went over the date in his head and any possibility of how something could go wrong, he'd nearly bet on it, they're the imperfectly perfect couple— if you could call them a couple, he wants people to call them a couple. Him and Willow.
The weather is fairly nice for the time of year, the Spring air fresh and airy which means it's perfect for sweater weather which he likes, definitely. He dressed in his some stone coloured trousers, a dark knitted sweater with shades of grey intertwined with the black and his black converse. He's be lying if he didn't say he'd stared in the mirror for quite a long time trying to make his hair fluffier when it dried— she likes fluffy hair.
He swallowed thickly when it was time to go and pick her up from the Hufflepuff common room like he said he would, the other three Marauders watching him with matching grins he chose to ignore, pleading inside they weren't going to mess up their date or simply appear on their date because something always happens when the Marauders are around together. He checks his hair one last time, taking the small bunch of flowers he'd picked full of pink and yellow ones, a small buttercup in his other hand because it didn't fit with the bouquet he'd put together.
He hummed gently, strolling through the castle corridors, excited students filling them up as they found their friends for Hogsmeade, his eyes casting down to the flowers every time they knocked into someone and became a little floppier, his teeth grinding together. He touched the barrels he'd gotten used to seeing he do when he's visit, nodding his head to Amos Diggory stood with Leo, as he made his way to the girl's dorms, passing Dottie and Charlotte on the way who gave him a warm smile he easily returned.
He let out a few deep breaths when he stood in front of the barrelled door to her dorm room, his heart hammering fiercely in his chest, his teeth tugging at his lip when he knocked gently on the door, wide eyed and retreating back when it was opened immediately to a threatening looking Scarlette Lestrange. He gulped at her narrowed eyes and they way she never dropped their eye contact when she spoke clearly,
"What are your intentions with my baby sister?"
"I don't know, Scar, maybe I should tie her up and use her, I think that's first on my list" He remarked sarcastically, her eyebrows raising as he stared back at her before she cracked a grin, her eyes travelling over him,
"Well don't you look lovely?" She teased, reaching and feeling the fabric of his sweater before taking the flowers out of his grip, leaving him with just the buttercup, his nose scrunching up, "Thank you for my flowers, Rem"
