𝕾ometimes they say the saddest thing about betrayal is that it never comes from your enemies.

The ones you think you can count on, have a mutual sided loyalty to, love through tough times and happy times, those are the ones that really know how to stab you in the back with a pointed knife.

Lyall and Newt were more than happy to watch over Maple and Harry for the afternoon whilst we attended a routinely Order meeting, still situated at the Potter manor. Following the deaths of Monty and Mia, Regulus and James had been staying there rather than their other little house in Godric's Hollow, Scarlette and Sirius the same also with their flat.

The drastically decreased numbers of witches and wizards each gathered on the table, listening intently to Dumbledore and Mad-eye Moody for orders and instructions. The intel Severus Snape had passed on to Dumbledore was announced, though I believe if Lily hadn't been in the Order, he wouldn't even have considered to work for both sides.

I wiggled in my seat once we drew back, nodding appreciatively towards James when he naturally placed a cup of hot chocolate between us, a small chopped lemon besides to nibble on.

With a sneaky glance towards where Mcgonagall and Dumbledore were chatting, I brought the beverage up to my lips, scanning the table and locking on his pale blue ones, my eyebrows raising in thought, capturing his attention when I settled my drink back down, asking nonchalantly,
