𝔍ames grins mischievously, playfully nudging his best friend as he teases, "You've got a little drool on your chin, Moony"
Remus grumbled at his friends words, trying to prevent the blush threatening to paint over his features from spreading further up his neck. Willow, Scarlette and Regulus happen to be trudging in the thick blanket snow together just in front of the four Marauders, after deciding to go outside for a walk in the winter weather. He knows Willow loves the snow, just as much as the autumn crisp leaves...and mushing them against his face.
"As if you weren't staring at Regulus' arse not even five minutes before" Peter snorted, having heard the comment, leaning against the walls of the castle, amusedly watching Sirius glare protectively at James,
"Who goes for their best friend's brother? I'm still not over it, i'll carry it with me to the grave" He decides stubbornly, fumbling forward and using Remus' cigarette he had lit up only moments ago to light his own, the werewolf leaning down ever so slightly and leaning in to help him.
"Yes, well I don't really mind, and neither does Reggie. He loves me" James claimed proudly, a dreamy sigh falling from his lips as he looked into the distance to the trio once more, probably losing himself into the world of Regulus Black and replaying the memory when he finally found the guts to tell him he loves him.
James didn't act as calm and cool as Regulus had have hoped.
He screamed it as he ran down the hallways of the castle moments later, heading towards Mcgonagall's office to inform her of the exciting revelation, leaving a flustered Regulus....the bespectacled boy remembering once he was in the office and reminded by the professor, he forgot to say it back. He got too carried away.
"Yes and I love you more. But you don't care about that anymore, do you? I'm gone in your stupid mind. Gone! Poof! Au revoir!" Sirius exclaimed exasperatedly after taking a large drag of his cigarette, Peter snickering as he munches on a chocolate frog he had in pocket, James groaning quietly as Remus kept his gaze straight forward, droning out from the petty argument between the pair.
He observes Willow, something that's not unusual for him, but it will never get old. He would admire her beauty every minute, hour, month and the rest of his existence. He's been more protective and cautious with her recently after the day they were meant to join the rest of the group and ended up in her dorm just the two of them. Of course, no one minded, but he couldn't deny he was a little concerned.
He knew she just needed some time to re charge her social battery, there's a lot going on in their world at the minute and all of them are in a tough position. No one is safe. If they're not beings, they're blood traitors, if not blood traitors then half breeds, if not half breeds, they're mudbloods in their eyes. Nothing apart from a loyal death eater would suffice and that's something none of them will ever be.
His insides warm significantly, not because of the inhalation from the cigarette but from just seeing her having some fun and enjoying herself. He doesn't need to know what sarcastic and dry comment Regulus has just said to make her angelic laugh bubble from her toes right to her throat, he just appreciates the gratifying sound, hoping he'll hear it a little while longer. He loves her laugh.
