The Christmas holidays were now over, and school was resuming as usual with everyone back in the castle, mostly excited to be with their friends yet weary of leaving their families in these dark times.

The next full moon was coming up within the week and to say he's struggling for this one would be an understatement. Some full moon's it's just noise that bothers him, some it's the metallic taste in his mouth, some his concentration lacks, others it's the need to be extra protective of what's his. This one is seems to be them all.

He's resting in the transfiguration classroom early for the lesson in the morning whilst Willow quickly goes to get them both some breakfast after ensuring him for fifteen minutes Scarlette would be with her and nothing would happen. It's ridiculous and pathetic how she has to do that, and he hates himself for her but his inner wolf's always cautious and tells him to never let her leave his sight.

He doesn't look away from the window when the professor wanders in beginning to set up for the lesson, him being there early isn't an odd occurrence as it's much quieter than in the busy great hall at this time. Chatting, scraping plates, laughing, chewing noises, foot tapping....it's too overwhelming.

"Morning Moons" He hears a rasped voice greet, his eyes reluctantly casting from the rain towards Sirius as he took his seat, beginning a conversation with Mcgonagall, followed by James as the rest of the class filed in ready.

His heart began pounding against his ribcage when he spots Willow and Scarlette trail in with full hands, sneaking a glance towards the professor, who paid no mind to them, allowing them to scuttle over. He manages a weak smile when his hufflepuff places different spread triangle toast, some coffee and some cold pumpkin juice just in case. There's also some bacon in case he wants some meat, though he does usually have steak for dinner a lot during his time of the month.

"You don't have to eat it all, just as much as you can...okay? Don't worry about MG, she doesn't mind us eating" I reassured the boy, when slipping into my seat with my own bowl of fruit, reaching to stroke some of his hair back as he hummed a small 'thank you', beginning to nibble at his toast as I popped a piece of lemon into my mouth.

He blinks down to his toast, not bothering to copy out notes like the rest of the class were doing, following the instructions on the chalk board, Sirius and James mouthing to each other and making wild gestures, the raven haired boy leaning back on his chair and nearly wobbling off, causing Peter to snicker into his hand to muffle his laughter.

He pauses abruptly when a whiff of a scent reaches his nose, his eyes snapping to Willow as she flips her hair over her shoulder, one hand on her quill and the other in her fruit bowl as she lazily pops them in his mouth. He clenches his eyes shut, desperately trying not to let his heightened emotions take control over himself.
