"How are you?" Camilla asked.

I had come back to the lab after three days of pure hell and pain. I had not eaten, not drank, just suffered. Nevertheless, it was finished. This morning, I showered, put order into my apartment and finally could breathe normally.

"I'm good and you?" I smiled "How was your first linking?" I was really curious how she had lived through it.

"Jason was really kind." She blushed slightly "We've seen each other to drink some coffee. He works in the nearby institute."

"Ooh." I snickered and she hit me before looking at me worried.

"You look..."

"I had the flu, quite bad." I stretched "I think that's why Yoongi pulled me out of the room the other day. Is there any news about the next formation?" I had to attend.

"It's about distance guiding!" Camilla looked excited "It is supposed to be this Wednesday." So, in two days. Sweet.

"Will they pair us with the same Espers?" I asked her.

"I have no idea." She pouted "I hope so."

"How cute." I teased gently. She rolled her eyes and we both laughed. According to Camilla, Jason was the real symbol of perfection. Kind, matching to her guiding perfectly and happy to listen to her. It seemed well too perfect for me, but I didn't say a thing.

"And you and Yoongi? You haven't told me anything." Camilla tilted her head at one point.

For me guiding was not about finding the perfect match, guiding was a duty. An extension of myself that could be exploited by others. It was easy to wield while difficult to control. I had not been able to differentiate between the people I matched to guide and didn't match with.

"I guess it was fine." I grimace "But Yoongi's character is not the b-"

"Not what?"

I feel shivers run through my back as I turn around. Hoseok is leaning against the door of the lab staring at us. I roll my eyes.

"Spying on others is probably the least gentleman like thing you can probably do." I sighed loudly "On girl's talk."

"You didn't end your sentence." He tilted his head. His expression was serious.

"It is none of your business, Hoseok." I answered looking at Camilla "We should get back to work, we'll talk about it later." She nodded, obviously in an awkward position. Slowly making her way past Hoseok, who didn't move an inch from his position.

"Yoongi is much more important and complex than you would think." Hoseok took a step forward "I don't think it is your job to criticize him."

I stared at Hoseok for a long minute. "Alright." And continued my work.

"You are the one with a shitty behavior." Hoseok's words made me freeze. I could retort with ease.

"That's a bit mean, don't you think?" Clara, my colleague and friend stood behind Hoseok.

"Aren't I right though?" Hoseok shrugged uncaring about the impact of his words.

"Elina's been sick for days and you're talking like you know her all. It's been what thrice since you met? You're the shitty behaved one, Hoseok. Get out of my way and of our lab." Clara pushed him to the side.

His aura was fortunately not on the darker side.

"You're too nice for your own good, Clara. See you." He disappeared out of our sight. I inhaled deeply.
