Love, I know you, I see you. You're the air I breathe, you're the blue sky I wake to each morning. You're the feeling of ease, you're the laughter in my lungs. You're the birds I hear during my morning walks, you're the absence I feel when I reach out for you and you are not there, you're some place else, you're not here by my side. You're the fire in my belly, the roar of the cars as they drive by - present, unchanging, constant, there but not there, there until you're not, there until night falls and I'm alone once again. Love, I feel you, I hear you. You're lying beside me asleep, and I smile, as everything fell into place, until you're gone and my mind collapses in on itself. You're the smell of flowerd, though you dislike their presence, they bring a piece of me into your life, your home, your presence. You're the spider in the corner of my bedroom, reliable until it disappears, fearful when it does, only to be rid of it when it dares come closer. I wish to be brave, but I'd only ever come close enough to trap it, keep it contained, leave it aside until staring breaks my nerve and I run, I run, who will be the first to run?

Love, stay with me, take my hand, and guide me through my fears to a better life by your side.
