Love of old,
Sing for me,
Sweetly, I hear you,
Just as much as I see,
Silently now, ever so quietly,
As you rest right here by my side,
Dark it is, here in the dead of night,
How I wish to hear you sing, I'd confine,
But here you lie, as you draw your last,
As I rise to meet what's left behind,
Sing for me, my love of old, I wish,
As I lie in bed, I wish to rewind,
To better days, with you here,
Now you're gone, it hurts still,
Now I lie here, silent, alone,
No cries by force of will,
Not a moment spent,
Spent in vain,
I remember,
Only your voice against the rain.
