The sun no longer feels warm, as the darkness creeps in,
The night grow colder still, as we hold each other closer,
And as the sun fades from view, I realise a cold follows suit,
Bringing with it the nightmares of last year, and all the sun had chased away,
The dark days are here, I wish for salvation,
Until the warmth comes again next year, and I feel my heart beat once more.
