Write your heart, pour it on the page,
Let out all the pain and rage,
Shout it all, from the highest point on earth,
Where all can see how much your heart is worth,
Sing and say, write a melody for the moment,
A way to make it digestible, a life full of torment,
And though these words, the lines and more,
Will be short, revealing little of history and lore,
All roads lead to the paper and pen,
In the way all things do, eventually, in the end,
Listen well, dear reader just like me,
And you'll learn the truth behind pain and humanity,
I love and hate equally the same,
For it all rests in my heart, where it shall remain,
Until this day where I share my story,
And all the reasons why I feel sorry,
Sorry to hurt and be hurt in the progress,
If you read on, remember one thing and forget the rest,
That you and I are not unlike,
For all roads you have travelled are ones I have hiked.
