A boy I know, he looks like me,
He talks with little care,
A boy I know, wild as can be,
With dirt obscuring his soul,
He lives for the night,
He hides where no one knows,
For he hates being seen under light,
Oppressive and damaging to his soul,
A boy I know, he sees this he hates,
He can't forget and he resents it so,
A boy I know, his worries are weights,
The hand of God crushing his soul,
This boy I know, he's no longer here,
He lives in my heart, you see,
You'll know it, feel it, when he's near,
For we are shared souls.
