Tell a story, and write it on my skin,
About a girl whose heart felt heavy with sin,
Tell a story, tell it far and wide,
About a girl who loved and was fed only lies,
About a girl who remembers and listens well,
Or at least how she tries to speak from the heart, can't you tell,
How she speaks in riddles, rhymes and more,
All leftovers from days of writing stories of her own, rich in history and lore,
Tell me a story, allow me to drift slowly to sleep,
About a boy who remained good, though still found it hard to weep,
Tell me a story, whisper it in my ears and mine alone,
About a boy who was hurting and found it hard to let go,
About a boy who met a girl, and the rest was history,
Or at least how the ending remains a mystery,
For love was not easy and remained a challenge each day,
But this story is still beautiful despite the ups and downs, we'll rewrite all we hate and tell this story our way.
