Love hidden, though on display for public scrutiny,
Love worth living, and dying, for in the best, and worst of times,
As my mind seeks knowledge, knows not what it wants to do,
Only that your presence brings with it peace, documented here in rhythm and rhymes,
Love, as we sit by the fire and watch it dance,
As our quest for answers leads us further down this road,
And as others look on in wonder and disgust at what they don't know,
Look only to me, to our lives together, as I help you carry that mental load,
Together as one, tied by our hands, by the red string of fate to each other,
As our fingers lay bare, I wear my ring upon my heart,
As we speak truth in writing, to search for meaning in this life and the next,
Only hoping that, until our last breath, together we shall always be, that we shall never have to be part.
