If you play with fire.. you get burned

Chapter 5

During one call, Maddox was with Andy and since he was not following her orders there was an incident that put them in a dangerous situation. Robert kept calling Andy on the radio, but she wasn't answering and he was really worried about her. Inside the house that was catching fire, Andy and Maddox were on the top floor and she kept telling Maddox to be careful because the floor was very unstable and if they put their feet up badly, the floor could collapse. Maddox did not listen to Andy, did not follow her steps and at one point there was a noise and the floor collapsed. Maddox was collapsing along with the floor but had managed to cling to a beam and was suspended in the void. Andy who was in front of him felt the floor collapse under her feet too and she got stuck with one leg. She could hear Robert calling her over the radio, but she couldn't answer. Even though Andy wasn't put in a good position, she was still trying to pull Maddox up so he didn't fall out. Meanwhile Robert was going crazy outside because he couldn't communicate with Andy and for a moment he thought the worst. They were all coming out in order to start the fire from outside the house, but Andy was not there. Andy was struggling a lot and at one point she took off her mask because at that moment it was a nuisance to her. Even though she had a leg stuck, she still managed to get close to Maddox and managed to take his radio.

Andy: "I need help" she said coughing.

Robert: "Andy.. where are you?"

Andy: "On the top floor" she coughed again. "The floor collapsed" she kept coughing. "Maddox instead is hanging from a beam, but I can't get him up" she said, continuing to cough from the smoke she was inhaling.

Robert: "Got it. Resist a little longer, we are coming"

Robert and everyone else put on their gear again and went inside to rescue Andy and Maddox. Since Maddox was the worst offender, they all focused on him, while Robert took care of Andy. When Robert reached Andy he noticed that she was not wearing her mask.

Robert: "Why did you take off your mask? You're inhaling the smoke" he said harshly but also worried.

Andy: "It bothered me, I had to find a way to keep that idiot from falling" she replied referring to Maddox. "The mask was damaged and bothered me" she said coughing.

Robert: "Ok, got it. Now breathe from here" he said as he took off his mask so Andy could breathe. "In the meantime, I'll free your leg" then he gave a little laugh.

Andy: "No, keep your mask on. It is more useful to you right now than it is to me. And what do you find funny about this situation?"

Robert: "You put yourself in a dangerous situation again and I'm saving you for the umpteenth time"

Andy: "You are my bodyguard, I know you will always save me" Robert shook his head and freed Andy's leg.

Even though Andy could walk very well, Robert picked her up to take her outside to be safe. As soon as they got out, Robert took Andy to the back of the ambulance so she could put on the oxygen mask. She kept coughing and saying that she was fine and didn't want the mask, so Robert took the mask in his hand and put it on Andy's face.

Robert: "You are really stubborn. Keep this mask until we go to the hospital"

Andy: "I don't want to go to the hospital"

Robert: "It doesn't matter, you'll go" Andy rolled her eyes because she knew she had no other choice.

After a few minutes the rest of the team along with Maddox also went out and were able to continue putting out the last remaining flames. Maddox had sustained some injuries so he was loaded into the ambulance and they took him to Grey Sloan. Another ambulance had been called for Andy and arrived shortly thereafter and Robert, after leaving the command to Jack, went with Andy. As soon as they arrived at the Grey Sloan, Andy was taken to a room for examination and Robert followed her.
