Mila and Marcus had just fallen asleep in their parents' arms and Andy thought now was the time to talk to Daniel.

Andy: "Daniel, we need to talk"

Daniel: "Should I worry? Has something happened?"

Andy: "First of all Robert and I apologize because.." Robert took his wife's hand to give her courage. "We lied to you. We always made you believe that he and I were married, but that wasn't true. We didn't really get married until much later and.." Andy didn't continue to say anything else because Daniel did something that left everyone speechless.

Daniel laughed because somehow he always suspected that thing and had never said anything to Andy and Robert.

Daniel: "Sorry if I'm laughing, but you don't have to apologize for anything, I've always suspected this thing"

Andy: "Really?" she asked in disbelief and Daniel nodded. "When did you realize that?"

Daniel: "I started to suspect when you told me about your very particular ceremony"

Andy: "And why didn't you tell us anything? You also asked us to do that thing in Miami since we were married"

Daniel: "From the beginning I saw that there was something very strong that bonded you between you, but I think you hadn't understood it yet. I thought maybe that little vacation in Miami would do you some good and if I'm honest, I was really hoping that one day you two would actually get married. Your father had told me about you and your policeman friend, I had seen you together and honestly I didn't like him very much"

Robert: "I totally agree with you" Andy gave a little laugh.

Daniel: "I just never understood why you lied to me"

Andy: "We started lying that day when station 88 was also there at that event that Robert and I organized. Someone from station 88 hit on me all day without ever giving me a break and finally to get him away from me, Robert said we were married. The problem was that you were there and you heard us and.. and then the rest came all by itself"

Daniel: "Was that the guy who then asked to be transferred to station 19 for a while?" Andy and Robert nodded.

Robert: "Since he was transferred to station 19, we had to keep pretending and we are really sorry for not telling you the truth sooner"

Daniel: "It doesn't matter, I've never been angry about this, on the contrary, I'm happy that things went well between you and that now there are those two little angels to give liveliness to the department" he replied smiling. "And if I'm honest, after you were in Miami those days for that event, I received many emails and phone calls complimenting me on sending you there. Thanks to you, things have started to change in many stations and I plan to organize a similar event here in Seattle next year"

Robert: "Will it cover the usual Miami topic?"

Daniel: "Yes so everyone will see that things can really work between colleagues and you are the perfect example of this" he replied with a big smile.

Eleonor: "Well.. I hope we will be invited too" she said referring to herself and Elena.

Daniel: "Obviously, you will be my very special escorts" he said smiling sweetly at both of them and then both Eleonor and Elena approached him.

Eleonor: "Thank you for sending them to Miami so after a long time I saw my baby again and then I met Andy" she replied smiling. "I was also present at that event in Miami because I worked there and I didn't know he was there too"

Elena: "So you played cupid for these two and brought the family together"

Daniel: "I didn't have all this responsibility, but maybe I helped things a little"
